Disabled Message on Display Hey SMART,
It would be great if you could show a message on the Display, when a specific app through the Remote Management is disabled. Like "This app is disabled"

Clear Canvas Function in Whiteboard Few versions back we were allowed to clear the canvas, but after updating we can't or it was taken away. Please add this function back!!! Instead of adding pages, we just would like to clear the whiteboard.

Allow granular security permissions for User Accounts Currently in RMS you can choose between 'Admin, User, Observer, Techer' and these permissions do not make much sense. It would be nice to set Granular Permissions to certain accounts like if I want my Help Desk to only be able to Remote Control Boards.

Add the input method "Cangjie" or "Hand writing" for Chinese Please add the input method "Cangjie" or "Hand writing" for Chinese input. Sometime we need to search some picture or topic in Chinese at Browser. But now it is just only "Pinyin" input method for Chinese. The "Pinyin" is difficult for Hong Kong Users. Thanks !

Display 2 Chrome windows at the same time It would be great to be able to display 2 chrome windows at the same time. You can have timer or directions on one and another for the activity.

Saving on Notebook Player when using the SMART Ink app When I upload an image with the SMART Ink App and then send it to the board there is no way for me to save the edits which I make to this! Every time I leave the document I lose all changes and it reverts to it's original saved format. When this be fixed?

How to work with the module in class, logging in hiding content on my screen for students This is more of a question for the developers! If the module/Smartboard is the only computer in the classroom, how does the teacher get access to her or his content in the safest and quickest way? I'm also wondering how the teacher should work the module while take attendence in class or if he or she wants to hide the content of the screen for the students.

Insert Media - Video Request Once a video has been inserted within Whiteboard it is hard/impossible to delete.
Also, you can no longer annotate over inserted video Whiteboard (but can annotate over a video using the YouTube app). Can you add annotations over videos in Whiteboard (as in iQ 3)?

Feature Suggestion for SMART iQ Whiteboard – Admin Control for Selected Students. Dear SMART Team,
I am a frequent user of the SMART iQ Whiteboard in educational settings and would like to suggest an enhancement to the "Start for the whole class" feature.
Currently, when enabling this function, all students can collaborate simultaneously. While this is great for engagement, it would be highly beneficial to have an admin control where the teacher can:
Select specific students who are allowed to write on the board.
See which student contributed what, ensuring clarity and accountability.
This addition would provide more structure to collaborative work and help teachers manage participation effectively.I appreciate your consideration…

Line drawing tool update Just seeking an update to a request and an answer by Joe Selby saying it was in the near term plans, any more specific timeframes for this sort of thing? We'd really like to see the line drawing tool sooner rather than later and would appreciate a more concrete timeline for implementation.
The whiteboard toolset for 7075 v.2 and above needs a significant update, a line drawing tool is absolutely necessary, our University Accounting and Economics courses need a feature like this when using your product.

Google Docs Zoom Feature Please add the pinch to zoom feature in the Google Docs SMART Board app. The Google Sheets and Google Slides apps already allow this action. This will help for better annotation and instructional practices in the classroom.

Zugriff auf SmartBoard durch Passwort/NFC-Karte regeln In einer Schule arbeiten viele unterschiedliche Lehrerinnen mit einem Gerät. In den Pausen sowie vor und nach dem Unterricht sind die Geräte offen zugänglich. Wir finden einen Passwortschutz oder alternativ das Entsperren und Sperren der Geräte mit einer NFC-Karte für sinnvoll. Bereits jetzt ist es möglich, dass EINE Person das Gerät sperrt, genau diese Person muss es aber auch wieder entsperren. Für die Verwendung an deutschen Schulen muss es aber möglich sein, dass Person A das Board sperrt und Person B es wieder entsperrt.

Full screen view in SMART iQ™ 4 whiteboard It would be great to find a way to get (temporary) rid of the floating tool bar of the SMART iQ™ 4 whiteboard (i. e. when embedding/playing a full screen video).
A possible solution could be to have a new "full screen view" available in the whiteboard which makes the floating tool bar disappear (temporary). To go back to the "regular view" including the floating tool bar there could be an icon in the upper right corner of the full screen to tap on.

Thomas1 voteThank you for your feedback. We have been considering this issue, and we have a few ideas we're exploring. One is to allow the user to shorten the toolbar to essential buttons only (pen tool, add page, etc.). Another is to allow the toolbar to be collapsed entirely. It would become a button on the side of the screen.
This second option sounds similar to what you're suggesting. It does open the door to other questions, like would you want to use toolbar elements from a collapsed state? Would you want to be able to move the button? And should it be anchored to a side or free-floating?
If you have any additional thoughts you'd like to share, your feedback is appreciated.

Enhance Basic Whiteboard Functionality on IQ3 for Boards that cant run IQ4 Having been told by Smart support that IQ4 cannot be run on my MX v2 screen, my request is that basic functionality like add arrows, shapes and lines be added to the IQ3 that is running on the MXv2.
For a school with 10 whiteboards, spending thousands on a hardware upgrade kit just to be able to draw lines and arrows is not reasonable.
This really needs to be included on a basic IQ3 update.
