An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the feedback. We do plan on adding this functionality to session editing. In the meantime, you can open a file from My Library in another tab and copy and paste pages from that file into a session.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi adurbin,
Thank you for sharing this idea. I completely understand how sorting only by date could get messy, especially when you’re managing multiple classes. For now, we recommend renaming your sessions by appending a unique identifier for your class (e.g. class code or name). This way, you can search for that identifier to quickly filter the list to show only sessions for that class.
We do plan to add support for multiple classes, with sessions tied to those classes so they can be easily filtered and organized. In addition, we’re looking at adding more organizational tools such as tagging, which should give you more control over how your sessions are grouped and managed.
Thanks again for helping us improve Lumio.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thank you for sharing your ideas. We will look into adding more efficient ways to replicate your changes to all sessions. In the meantime as a workaround, if you've made a new activity that you also want to use for other periods, you can copy and paste pages from one session to another.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Jill. Great to hear you’re finding live session edits useful! Your idea about applying changes across all sessions from the same template makes a lot of sense. Would it also help if we made it easy for you to take a session you made changes to and overwrite the original file with those changes so that subsequent sessions you create from the file will have the latest?

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for sharing your feedback and idea. We are planning on adding this improvement to Shout It Out. In the meantime, Whole-class Whiteboard activities can be used as an alternative for class discussions, and all students can see the same shared space with everyone's contributions.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Jenny,
Thanks so much for sharing your idea.
Just to clarify, do you mean when teachers are reviewing a Whole-class Whiteboard activity that you’d like to see student attribution info displayed directly next to each object/ink in the shared space? Or would it be enough to simply see a list of students who contributed to the activity?
By the way, you can already view attribution for any specific contribution by selecting an object/ink and opening the context menu in the top-right corner of that object.
Looking forward to your thoughts.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for sharing the feedback. We will look to add additional import options to session editing in the future. In the meantime, a workaround is to copy and paste pages from a file in My Library into a session using Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi adurbin,
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. I understand that the move from having everything organized in My Library to using Class Sessions feels disruptive, especially since you were comfortable with the previous setup.
The reason we introduced sessions was to separate student data from teacher materials. Files in My Library are now your clean, reusable lesson templates. Sessions, on the other hand, capture the work from each delivery or assignment. This helps teachers who teach multiple groups of students or who reuse the same lessons year after year keep their original lessons intact while still preserving student work.
This approach is similar to how many learning management systems work: teaching materials are kept in one place, then create assignments using those materials for students to complete their work. Google Classroom, for example, keeps your files in Google Drive while assignments automatically make copies for students. Lumio’s model follows a similar paradigm so teachers can more easily reuse and manage their content.
That said, we know organization is critical. On our roadmap are new features such as the ability to create multiple classes and associate sessions with classes, as well as more ways to tag and filter sessions, so it will be easier to stay organized and find what you need.
Thanks again for taking the time to let us know how the change is impacting your workflow.

Thanks for taking the time to share your idea.
To confirm the use case, by printing annotations, do you mean being able to export a session that contains written notes you made during lesson delivery?

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Jeff,
Thanks for sharing your feedback.
At the moment, there isn’t a way to copy pages from a session back into a file in My Library. This is due to a technical limitation that we’re looking to resolve.
In the meantime, while you can’t copy from a session back to a file, you can copy and paste pages between sessions. If you’d like to reuse the same activity with another group of students, you can open two sessions in different tabs and use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste pages between them.
I know this isn’t as seamless as copying back to My Library, but I hope the workaround helps for now.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback,

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Deja,
Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback.
From what you described, it sounds like what worked best for you was having a single share link that automatically updated with your edits, so you could post once in Google Classroom and not worry about managing multiple links. Is that right?
While Class Sessions is designed to keep student work separate across different classes, you can still share the same session if that works better for you. To do this, create one session and post that session link to Google Classroom (you’ll find the session link under Share assignment from the Class Sessions tab, or from the more menu during delivery). Then, whenever you want to use it with your classes, go to the Class Sessions tab and click Start live to resume live delivery of the same session. This way, any edits you make to that session will automatically update for all students using that same link.
I know the change in workflow can feel different and I really appreciate you explaining how it impacts your teaching. If it would be helpful, I’d be glad to set up a quick online meeting to walk through your workflow and learn more about how we can make Class Sessions work better for you.

An error occurred while saving the comment Editors in Shared Libraries should be able to create multiple folders. One thing to check is if you are an editor in the Shared Library. If your role is a viewer, then you cannot create new folders. You can ask the owner of the Shared Library to make you an editor.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Brandon, I am going to forward this request to the hardware team. Thanks!
Hi Carmen,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. Could you tell me a bit more about your use case for wanting an option to display slides without creating a session? Understanding your workflow will help us see where the friction is.
The goal of sessions is to help separate student work from your original lesson files, so that each class or group of students has their own space for work. That said, if you don’t want to create a brand-new session every time, you can always return to the Class Sessions tab and open the previous session by clicking Start live to continue with that same session rather than generating a new one.
