Pen support for specific Android apps
It would be awesome if SMART iQ™ could detect installed apps like Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Onenote, or Microsoft PowerPoint which are all equipped with a pen feature and then de-activate the ink layer of SMART iQ™ and select the pen tool in these apps as soon as the user grabs a pen of the SMART Board® interactive display. So basically the same behavior of SMART Ink™ on a Windows PC.
Today I have to disable the ink layer in a specific app using the acetate command in the SMART Remote Management software first and then I will need to select the pen tool in the tool bar of the mentioned app. If we would find a way to skip these steps and to activate the pen feature of Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Onenote or PowerPoint immediately just by picking the pen, it would be really, really helpful and an USP.

This feature is now available through 'settings' in iQ 4 on MX-V5, RX, and displays using the AM-60 appliance.

Hi Vojtěch,
Disable the annotation layer for a specific Android app is indeed possible. You have to use the SMART Remote Management software and send a "Exec command" to the SMART display including the command "acetate" and the parameter "ink <app packet name> 0" for disable and "ink <app packet name> 1" for enable the ink annotation layer for the specific app.One of my videos explains it step by step (in German only, sorry): https://youtu.be/xJFpkBpJwaQ
At the very moment this command doesn't seem to work properly, but according to SMART they are going to fix it soon to make it work again like shown in my video.

At least allow us to disable iQ's annotation layer in specific android apps! Especially when MS Whiteboard is available in App Store. The annotation layer cuts you off when you try to draw in Whiteboard using pens - brilliant.
