Inking feature while on freeze mode on MX-V5 like on V3 and V4. This feature is for Chromebook users.
Since Chromebook users can't install SMART Drivers, this inking feature on freeze mode is a must. With MX-V3 and V4, this feature is loved by teachers but with V5, this feature is no longer available.

Remotely Configure MX System Update Settings from SMART Remote Management
We have 150 MX boards (66% V5), where it would be of benefit of us to manage the board's system update settings via the Remote Management system.
Our preferred method of updating the boards would be to test an update on a few boards before allowing the update to roll out to the rest of our boards.
Rather than visit each board, we would like to be able to configure these settings via policies in Smart Remote Management.

MX V5 - Enable support for HDMI-CEC, Default Input and Wake on source
MX V5 in use in meeting room scenarios often have peripherals attached that need to utilize HDMI-CEC, Default input or Wake on source.
One very relevant scenario is Microsoft Teams Rooms Devices. These control the display based on room occupancy using HDMI-CEC & wake on source. The default input option would be very useful, so make the MTR device the primary input. Users can then switch to iQ when needed..

Auto Lock after period of inactivity
Smart Boards do not Auto lock after inactivity. This means that anybody can walk up to the Smartboard and access a users data at any time a user does not remember to lock their board manually. Files can be uploaded to the user's cloud storage, etc.
Fix: Provide an option to auto lock the smartboard with pin code after a period of inactivity.3 votes -
Make Smart Board boot directly into AM60-module and make it possible to use the SmartBoard buttons with the module
The AM60 IQ Compliance Module is considered an enhancement by SMART, but I find it very annoying that our MX-board need to boot in to the on-board PC, instead of just booting into the AM60 Module.
WHen I insert an AM60 Module, the onboard PC should be downgraded to a bridge and just allow the module to function as the primary system device.
At the same time, it is not possible to use the Smart Board's physical buttons with the module. They should be bound to the module when activated.
That would enhance the experience and make the AM60 module…
5 votesThanks for the idea. Our engineering teams have started on implemented this to make the AM60 an integrated module when connected to the display. We're expecting to deliver this in an upcoming iQ firmware update.

Lock Down Screen Sharing
We have discovered that students have found out how to turn off the Pin needed and authorization needed to cast to the boards in the settings on the board. Since they can turn this off they can randomly cast to the boards with their phones and display whatever they like. There is also no way to lock the settings that we have found to keep them from doing this.
I have also learned that the Smart Remote Management can't control the screen share access. This has turned into a huge liability that we can't control.

Max volume limit
Max volume limit for the Smart board please. Perhaps an accessibility setting on the board. We have certain students that get music as reward/leisure and they try to turn the volume all the way up. When the sound then gets turned down to an acceptable level it can result in disruptive negative behaviors. Having these boards in a special needs environment makes this an essential feature. Thank you!

Sticky notes.
Sticky notes appear in the top right hand corner of the screen when using the GX series board. It would be more pedagogically correct to appear at the top left hand of the screen. In English we work from left to right. (I know we can move them but to reinforce this left to right working for our young users, it just seems wrong!

Enable Touch Calibration on Chromebooks
Please contact Google to enable the flag "Enable/disable touchscreen calibration option in material design settings" in the stable version of Chrome OS. This allows Smart Boards to work with Chrome OS by allowing touch input to apply to the correct display without having screen mirroring be on at all times, which is very impractical. Many schools and businesses would benefit from this as they cannot use flags due to security and privacy concerns. Because of not having this flag, Smart Boards become used primarily as non-interactive displays. This leads to schools abandoning them altogether. This feature has been a flag…

Split screen for MX-V2 series

Smart ID Card Setup
The school has 50 to 70 teachers, ranging from pre-school to high school. It is challenging for them to set up the Smart ID cards individually in front of the panel. This is not efficiency & security for the school.
Is there a possibility for Smart ID card setup via cloud-based platforms, web pages, Smart Remote management, or other means?
And can the ID/Password be configured in bulk using a CSV file to synchronize with the Smart ID cards, under the administration of the school's IT staff.6 votes -

Allow more than 1 Admin Account on AM60 Module
At the moment, I have several instructors using my boards. They all have the work account on the AM60 (for security issues) but in order for them to log in to the board, I need to login first with my ID, apparently because I am the Admin account holder. This is a serious issue with usage especially when I am not in the office and I need to give instructors my PIN number.

Disabling ethernet ports of SMART displays & Support for LLDP
It should be possible to turn off the two RJ45 ports of the SMART displays. Some customers have a specific device "logic" in their network, based on the MAC address of the network card. Every device with a specific MAC address will get specific policies. When you have a scenario with a SMART display including an OPS PC PCM11 we have a total of 3 MAC addresses, depending on where you plug-in the ethernet cable. According to customers you will get randomly one of the two MAC addresses when using the RJ45 hub of the display and you can't know…
