Crop a picture that you bring into the whiteboard 4.3 iQ We would like to be able to crop images that are either copy and paste or drag and drop or brought in with a camera.

Make Whiteboard Toolbar Collapsable The whiteboard menu is large and gets in the way of using the whole screen. It would be very helpful if you could collapse or be partially dragged off the side of the visible screen.
Additionally, having the option to nest the toolbar to the side of the screen would be an improvement to the current floating whiteboard toolbar.

iQ4 screen lock disable option request. Our customer has accidentally set a PIN on their iQ4 display and subsequently forgotten it. Currently, the only solution is to reflash the device.
As there is no existing option to disable the screen lock on iQ4 displays, we respectfully request that a feature to disable the screen lock be included in the next update.
Thank you in advance.

Line drawing tool The whiteboard toolset for 7075 v.2 and above needs a significant update, a line drawing tool is absolutely necessary, our University Accounting and Economics courses need a feature like this when using your product.
8 votesWork has begun on developing this feature. It is scheduled to be included in our summer iQ4 release.
To manage expectations, this first Lines/Arrows release will not include connectors on shapes, but that is forthcoming. We just need more time to build that functionality.

Display Usernames Instead of Unreadable IDs in Device Details Currently, when viewing device details in SMART Remote Management (SRM), the signed-in users appear as long, unreadable alphanumeric IDs rather than clear, recognizable usernames. This makes it difficult to quickly identify who is logged into a device.
Proposed Improvement:
Display meaningful usernames or email addresses instead of cryptic user IDs.

Please make the time in the lower right hand side of the board bigger. Apparently, the time recently changed font size and the teachers are complaining that it's too small. Thank you. Wendy Tech Coach
4 votesHi Wendy, the iQ Whiteboard does not display time in the bottom right of the screen (or anywhere else). iQ doesn't display time in the bottom right corner either. Are you displaying a connected laptop?

Simple line, arrow & shape drawing tool for IQ Whiteboard on MX I really need some basic drawing tools in the native IQ Whiteboard without having to connect to a PC to use Smart Notebook. The simplest of drawing tools like arrows, lines and basic shapes would be ideal. Today I wanted to split my MX screen to show 2 ways to complete a maths problem. I’d love to be able to choose draw - line - and using the pen, draw a simple straight line. I don’t want to have to keep a PC beside the board to mirror to it as I use my PC less and less these days.…
2 votesThe iQ4 update released today (December 11, 2024) includes a shape tool and text creator tool. We will be adding lines/arrows in the new year. We will also be updating shapes and text to include more formatting options.
If your school is not yet using iQ4, talk to your IT Admin on what possibilities are available to upgrade.

Saving Timer Settings On the new AM60s, I would like to be able to save Timer settings. For example, setting a default time as well as a default sound. I find that it resets every time I close it.
7 votesThis functionality will be included as part of our iQ 4.3 release later this year. Thank you for your patience.

Third parties camera We want use a third parties camera with microphone and speaker built-in and we want decide wich speaker or microphone to use.
When I connect this type of camera I can't select which one speaker or microphone to use. The display with IQ 4.3 (MX and RX) automatically deactivate display's microphone and speaker and I can't manage the display's audio in and audio out. I'd like to manage them and chosing which one to use.2 votes -
jew5463@gmail.com Our customer, who is using a Chromebook, is attempting to cast their screen to a SMART Board via Screen Share using Miracast. They need to modify the display name on the Miracast list. Currently, the display name appears as 'SMART Mirror- (code)'. This is causing confusion in classrooms with multiple SMART Boards on the same network, as there are too many similar display names that don't correspond to the classroom numbers.

MX-V5 panels (settings) The following within the settings app need to occur.
- Ensure up-to-date firmware as SMART Board's firmware current for optimal performance. Currently too many glitches until a firmware has

Managing pin for settings from adminportal The settings on our boards are secured with a PIN code. If this PIN code is leaked, we currently have to manually update the PIN on each board, which is not practical with more than 40 boards. Could this be implemented in the admin portal so that it can be managed centrally?

SMART-ify the new iQ 4 system The new UI feels like a giant Android tablet. Classroom users have commented that they get lost trying to use it. I also have 90% of my fleet on the older model with the original UI so now when someone goes to a new one, they need to be trained on how to use it again. Could you add option to "SMART-ify" the new iQ 4 system so it looks the same as the older models?

Full screen view in SMART iQ™ 4 whiteboard It would be great to find a way to get (temporary) rid of the floating tool bar of the SMART iQ™ 4 whiteboard (i. e. when embedding/playing a full screen video).
A possible solution could be to have a new "full screen view" available in the whiteboard which makes the floating tool bar disappear (temporary). To go back to the "regular view" including the floating tool bar there could be an icon in the upper right corner of the full screen to tap on.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Thomas1 voteThank you for your feedback. We have been considering this issue, and we have a few ideas we're exploring. One is to allow the user to shorten the toolbar to essential buttons only (pen tool, add page, etc.). Another is to allow the toolbar to be collapsed entirely. It would become a button on the side of the screen.
This second option sounds similar to what you're suggesting. It does open the door to other questions, like would you want to use toolbar elements from a collapsed state? Would you want to be able to move the button? And should it be anchored to a side or free-floating?
If you have any additional thoughts you'd like to share, your feedback is appreciated.

Request the Simple Setup Guide for IQ4.x configuration The IQ4.x is too complex for school support/administrative personnel, so please request the Simple Setup Guide for configuring it for educational/business customers, along with a detailed description of the IQ4.x system settings for customizing them for schools/companies.

Insert Media - Video Request Once a video has been inserted within Whiteboard it is hard/impossible to delete.
Also, you can no longer annotate over inserted video Whiteboard (but can annotate over a video using the YouTube app). Can you add annotations over videos in Whiteboard (as in iQ 3)?
Thanks!

Feature Suggestion for SMART iQ Whiteboard – Admin Control for Selected Students. Dear SMART Team,
I am a frequent user of the SMART iQ Whiteboard in educational settings and would like to suggest an enhancement to the "Start for the whole class" feature.
Currently, when enabling this function, all students can collaborate simultaneously. While this is great for engagement, it would be highly beneficial to have an admin control where the teacher can:
Select specific students who are allowed to write on the board.
See which student contributed what, ensuring clarity and accountability.
This addition would provide more structure to collaborative work and help teachers manage participation effectively.I appreciate your consideration…
