Add search functionality to SRM repository item icons Currently, when selecting an icon for repository items in SMART Remote Management (SRM), users must scroll through a long list of icons without a search option. This makes it difficult and time-consuming to find the right icon. Adding a search bar would allow users to find icons by keyword (e.g., "lock," "cloud," "network"), making the process faster and more efficient.

Display Usernames Instead of Unreadable IDs in Device Details Currently, when viewing device details in SMART Remote Management (SRM), the signed-in users appear as long, unreadable alphanumeric IDs rather than clear, recognizable usernames. This makes it difficult to quickly identify who is logged into a device.
Proposed Improvement:
Display meaningful usernames or email addresses instead of cryptic user IDs.

Enable Automatic Updates for Apps Installed via SRM Currently, apps installed via SRM using Google Play do not automatically update when Google releases new versions. This creates a gap where administrators must manually update apps to ensure they are current.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce automatic update functionality for all apps installed via SRM using Google Play.
Ensure that updates follow the regular Google Play update cycle without requiring manual intervention from administrators. This enhancement will streamline app management and ensure devices always run the latest app versions without additional administrative overhead.

Enhance Command Logs to Clearly Identify Active and Stopped Persistent/Scheduled Commands The current Command Logs in SRM lack clear indicators for determining which persistent or scheduled commands are currently active and which have been stopped. This makes managing active schedules or recurring commands cumbersome and can lead to confusion, especially in troubleshooting or reviewing tasks.
Proposed Feature:
Add visual indicators or a dedicated column in the Command Logs to clearly display the status of persistent and scheduled commands, such as:Active: Commands that are currently running or scheduled.
Stopped/Inactive: Commands that were deactivated or no longer recurring.
Include additional metadata, like the schedule frequency (e.g., daily at 7:45 AM) and the…1 vote -
Enhance Command Logs to Display Specific Setting Changes When commands are pushed through SRM to change device settings, the Command Logs currently display generic statuses like "Command Sent" or "Command Executed." However, they do not specify which settings were modified or what values were applied. This makes troubleshooting and audit tracking difficult.
Proposed Feature: Update the Command Logs to include detailed information about the settings or configurations that were changed as part of the command execution. For example:
If a setting like “Device Name” or “Screen Timeout” is changed, the log should display the old value, the new value, and the specific setting modified.
Include any additional parameters…1 vote -
Login Settings It would be great to be able to have a setting to set a user to be the default login. When setting up our boards, I made the first account the admin and then created a user to be able to more easily change the user if a teacher would leave or change locations.
However, when they leave for the day and come back, the SMART Board logs into the Admin account by default. Thus creating more steps teachers have to do to log back into their account.

Set the sleep time value (seconds)" to "Set the 'Screen timeout in SRM The SRM setting "Set the sleep time value (seconds)" currently controls the 'Screen timeout' on the iQ 4 board, not the "Go to standby mode" setting. This caused confusion for the customer, who thought they were changing the standby setting.
Customer Suggested Change 1: Rename it to "Set the 'Screen timeout' value" to make it clearer.
Customer Suggested Change 2: Instead of requiring users to input the number of seconds, provide options that match the available settings shown in iQ Settings, such as 1 minute, 5 minutes, etc. This would make the interface more user-friendly and consistent..
