Monitoring and management via SNMP
We have a stock of about 150 Smart Boards and Smart Displays in our educational institutions.
As a municipality, we are responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting the IT in the facilities. For this, we operate a central management system and monitoring for more than 2000 IP-IT-devices. We would like to integrate the SMART devices there. The easiest way would be to connect them via SNMP. Unfortunately, we could not find any documentation on this.

SMART Remote Management Feature Matrix
Please can a feature list/matrix be added for each deployable setting against the various models of SMART Board.
A recent Support ticket has uncovered a number of functions of Remote Management are not available on GX Series boards. There is no indication on the Device Management Guide for which features will or will not work on various boards.
This would be useful information for all to prevent unnecessary troubleshooting and support tickets that are not available on various models.
3 votesWhen a feature must be done differently for one or more of our SMART Board models, it is noted in the management guide. In iQ3, this is generally an exception, and most features apply universally.
With our next generation panels running iQ4, we will be expanding this documentation. We may be able to include more detail within the iQ3 panel differences as well, and we will keep this under advisement.

Lock gestures button on whiteboard
The kids and also the teachers are having severe problems on writing on the whiteboards without the annotation layer resizing or shifting unwantedly, resulting in destroyed proportions regarding the whiteboard backgrounds. I'd like a way to lock the gestures or to turn them off completely for the system, since they destroy a lot of usability for us sadly. (GX series)

Humidity/Temperature sensors
Make the values of the humidity and temperature sensors available via RS232. With this you would be able to create perfect learning conditions if you use these values in combination with a room control system which now can control the air quality or the temperature conditions in the classroom.

Replacement nibs for 6000S pens
It would be ideal if the nibs for the 6000S model pens could be available for purchase on their own. We have several pens with broken nibs or nibs that sometimes fall out.

Change default Colour Temperature
Please, change the default Colour Temperature on Smart Boards 7000R Series from Cool to Neutral.
Problem is that with selected Cool colour temperature Smart Boards are not able to display LIGHT GREY colours.
For example, go to https://www.google.com/drive/ in the iQ browser with the default colour temperature called Cool. Then go to the same www page with the Neutral colour temperature selected. The difference is clearly visible on our 7000R display - see attached photos.

bring back the small eraser
I used to have a Smart Board 6000 series and the nicest feature was the mini eraser on the end of the pens. I recently got a new MX series board and I'm very disappointed by the lack of small eraser. I'm a teacher and being able to erase a small section instead of using my palm to erase it all is a lot easier when it comes to teaching.

Play Audiobooks or Boardstorys when putting a special tagged Figure on it.

Please add SMART Podium® 624 interactive pen display default thickness setting option at the SMART Setting. I do see this options from other SMART IFP but not in SP624.

Firmware update download from USB
We have to update multiple displays during an installation on a regular basis (we are a SMART Reseller). The displays are not on a network at the time and may never be allowed so we can only update from USB.
These displays can take 20-30mins each to update so it can take hours to do multiple displays before we can leave site.I would like to see the option to download the file to the display before running the install process. Similar to the network download from SMART's servers.
An alternate would be to download from a connected PC acting…

hide password
Would like to keep students from using the board unsupervised. The password feature would help, if it can be input in small so students cant see it. right now, the password is entered in large so all studetns can see what the password is. otehr option is to allow NFC reader to read card that has password on it.

It would be good to be able to configure "no input" screen to make it black or customise it with a company logo or wallpaper.

dual audio output
I'd like to be able to have audio output to from both the built-in speakers, but also through an external speaker as well. The use case if for hearing impaired students in the back of the room hearing the same audio from the front of the room with a closer speaker. Currently, you can only have the audio come out of the board or the speaker, but not both at the same time.

Pull WIFI and SMR enrollment account info from USB stick.
We are looking at he Smart SRM software. We need to add 3500 boards and another 500 each year as we evergreen. Having a quick was to load WIFI credentials and SMR enrollemnt account info in a quick and confidential method would be very benefitial.

Manually updating firmware should have unique file names
The GX, AM60 and AMG1 and im sure others all have the same update.zip file name which is a pain when you are a service tech constantly dealing with many, many different model boards. Just name them all something different so we can keep them easily accessible on a flash drive.

Ability to change 'No signal power off' setting through SMART Remote Management
In SMART Remote Management, you can change the settings of SMART IWBs. One setting on SMART GX IWBs is No signal power off, which turns off the IWB when there has been no signal on the active input. It would be really helpful if this setting could be changed in bulk via SMART Remote Management, however there is no option for this setting.

GX V4 Freeze Functionality
On the GX V4, freeze screen now also mutes audio, which is annoying for some. At least have the option to mute or unmute? On the V2 and V3, we see a menu for zooming too, the old functionality was much better
