Disabling ethernet ports of SMART displays & Support for LLDP
It should be possible to turn off the two RJ45 ports of the SMART displays. Some customers have a specific device "logic" in their network, based on the MAC address of the network card. Every device with a specific MAC address will get specific policies. When you have a scenario with a SMART display including an OPS PC PCM11 we have a total of 3 MAC addresses, depending on where you plug-in the ethernet cable. According to customers you will get randomly one of the two MAC addresses when using the RJ45 hub of the display and you can't know which of the two option you will get. Therefore customers want to use only the RJ45 port of the SMART OPS PCM11 module and deactivate the two RJ45 ports of the display itself. Other customers want to turn of the RJ45 ports for security reasons.
In addition to the above topic customers often ask if it would be possible for all the SMART devices (displays and OPS modules) to talk LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol).

Agreeing with this option to disable the RJ45 port(s) on the Smart Board. It would help with Security as keeping policies to one device is difficult when this pass through can be used. If this could be implemented using the command line when connecting to the RS-232 port of the board or if there is a standard config file that is created that can be updated.
