Make a smaller version of the Smart Podium 624
The Smart Podium 624 works well in a lot of our classroom spaces, but sometimes it's too big for some of our smaller lecterns. We'd like to see a smaller version that could be used for these spaces.

MX-V2 to allow 16:10 aspect ratio
Implement video support on the MX v2 series to allow 16:10 aspect ratio via a firmware update. The school I provide technical support for have acquired laptops with a native 1920x1200 resolution requires recalibration/orient and we're hoping to maximise screen real estate on the SMARTBoards

Please update the V2 iQH811 boards to actually turn off the on-screen keyboard.
Please update the V2 iQH811 boards to actually turn off the on-screen keyboard when a physical keyboard is plugged in. As of now the toggle does nothing but the toggle works on newer boards. Please continue to support older hardware (that is not really old at all).

MX-65 Smart board with onboard computer.
Have a freeze screen function where what is showing on the screen (youtube) could still be showing but toggle the touch screen off and on. (Special Ed classroom when a student may walk to it and touch it accidently and then it messes up where the video is or goes to another website.)

usb drives
The IFP's need a safe eject option for USB Flash drives. There is a safe eject option on computers to keep files from becoming corrupted. These SMART Boards need to have the same option.

GX PIN PROBLEM
I disabled the embedded OS and also created a PIN for students not to re-enable it and changed the default boot source to my PC. But the problem is that the system still askes PIN when I turn on the display. I do not wish it because students can see PIN while I am entering it. I wish the PC to boot directly without asking for PIN.

USB Key as Unlock
Allow a configured USB key to unlock the board...display, settings, everything. This would be huge in the edu environment as they usually don’t want students on the board without supervision. These keys could be duplicated by IT admins and handed out to teachers and other staff in order to use the boards. Much like the USB key to keep configuration settings...this would be one key to rule them all (except a whole bunch to make these devices work in education).

Fix GX wallpaper bug
The GX boards have a bug that allows a user to change the wallpaper from the built-in browser’s “right click” menu options. Since the option to change wallpaper is configured behind the admin security area, no other application should be able to override this. You can understand how issues can arise in an education system where students have access to the board. Display lock codes don’t work in education because the teachers are forced to unlock the code in front of the students, so codes would last less than a day.

Proxy User und Passwort
Es wäre wünschenswert wenn bei den Netzwerkeinstellungen / Proxy die Möglichkeit bestünde Username und Passwort für eine gesicherte Proxyumgebung einzutragen.

The Smart wall mount is not installation friendly.
The screw to lock the mount is not very accessible and make it very difficult to service the mount or just installing it.

Hintergründe im Whiteboard dauerhaft individuell zufügen können
Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn man eigene Hintergründe zu den vorhandenen hinzufügen könnte und diese nicht immer zb vom USB-Stick auswählen müsste, beispielsweise verschiedene Liniaturen...

Active Shooter Alert
It would be nice to be able to utilize a PA system through the smartboard speakers or a silent alert for active shooter/intruder in the building. Maybe a button that administration or any teacher can press that would turn the boards a specific color and say intruder. I think with what we are seeing around the US, this is an important safety feature that all schools can use. A double measure if you will.

Parts and Advanced troubleshooting
Is there anyway that we could purchase replacement parts for 6000 series smart panels? We have quite a few that are getting black screens. Back light will work, but no image. Yes, they are out of warranty, but we feel its within our means, and right to repair issues of this nature. The unfortunate problem is that you don't offer parts. Devices with and without intellegienz
2. devices installable lying down, without pen holder.
3. devices without touch (24/7, high haze level with USB-C and holes left/right, top/bottom for camera).
4. business apps for the device with improved functionality. Compatibility with Crestron (Crestron certified), Extron, etc

Get an external docking station or power supply for ICT for OPS
An ICT department who have many smartboard in many class will be easier to manage if we could have an external docking station or power supply to connect the OPS for test or pré installation in a domain to prepare massive deployment for example.

Workflows with the new SMART ID cards
It should be possible to store certain individual workflows on the new SMART ID cards. Imagine a teacher or a meeting room user walking up to a 6000s, taping on the 6000s screen with his/her SMART ID card and then the predefined workflow starts automatically:
- the user will be logged on to SMART iQ™ with the SMART account
- the predefined app is going to launch (i. e. SMART whiteboard or SMART TeamWorks™/PowerPoint)
- the predefined file opens
- the app browses to the predefined page/slide
This would be a real USP and it would meet the needs of teachers or meeting room…

SMART Board® GX series no Proxy settings on Wifi connection
There is no ability to set proxy setting in the Wi-Fi connection on the GX Series Boards. Needs to be similar to how this works on the MX Series. (Using latest Firmware as on Aug 2021)
