Remotely Configure MX System Update Settings from SMART Remote Management
We have 150 MX boards (66% V5), where it would be of benefit of us to manage the board's system update settings via the Remote Management system.
Our preferred method of updating the boards would be to test an update on a few boards before allowing the update to roll out to the rest of our boards.
Rather than visit each board, we would like to be able to configure these settings via policies in Smart Remote Management.

MX V5 - Enable support for HDMI-CEC, Default Input and Wake on source
MX V5 in use in meeting room scenarios often have peripherals attached that need to utilize HDMI-CEC, Default input or Wake on source.
One very relevant scenario is Microsoft Teams Rooms Devices. These control the display based on room occupancy using HDMI-CEC & wake on source. The default input option would be very useful, so make the MTR device the primary input. Users can then switch to iQ when needed..

Connect Kandao Meeting Ultra to Smart MX or RX via HDMI out port
Connect a complete video conferencing system like the Kandao Meeting Ultra to the HDMI OUT of the new Google EDLA monitors (V5e RX). In order to use the Smart monitor whiteboard app during a video conference initiated by the Kandao Meeting Ultra system (it is equipped with an HDMI IN 2.0 port).
Now the display of the Kandao Meeting Ultra remains black.
The only way to use it correctly is by using the HDMI OUT port of the OPS Smart.1 vote -

Make Smart Board boot directly into AM60-module and make it possible to use the SmartBoard buttons with the module
The AM60 IQ Compliance Module is considered an enhancement by SMART, but I find it very annoying that our MX-board need to boot in to the on-board PC, instead of just booting into the AM60 Module.
WHen I insert an AM60 Module, the onboard PC should be downgraded to a bridge and just allow the module to function as the primary system device.
At the same time, it is not possible to use the Smart Board's physical buttons with the module. They should be bound to the module when activated.
That would enhance the experience and make the AM60 module…
5 votesThanks for the idea. Our engineering teams have started on implemented this to make the AM60 an integrated module when connected to the display. We're expecting to deliver this in an upcoming iQ firmware update.

Max volume limit
Max volume limit for the Smart board please. Perhaps an accessibility setting on the board. We have certain students that get music as reward/leisure and they try to turn the volume all the way up. When the sound then gets turned down to an acceptable level it can result in disruptive negative behaviors. Having these boards in a special needs environment makes this an essential feature. Thank you!

Smart ID Card Setup
The school has 50 to 70 teachers, ranging from pre-school to high school. It is challenging for them to set up the Smart ID cards individually in front of the panel. This is not efficiency & security for the school.
Is there a possibility for Smart ID card setup via cloud-based platforms, web pages, Smart Remote management, or other means?
And can the ID/Password be configured in bulk using a CSV file to synchronize with the Smart ID cards, under the administration of the school's IT staff.7 votes -
Split screen for MX-V2 series
"I could not find the Split screen option for 30 MX-V2s in my school. The iQ support page does explain you can tap the 'Recents', but I don't have that option. Please push an update to get that. " Submitted on behalf of the customer, case 766602.

Allow more than 1 Admin Account on AM60 Module
At the moment, I have several instructors using my boards. They all have the work account on the AM60 (for security issues) but in order for them to log in to the board, I need to login first with my ID, apparently because I am the Admin account holder. This is a serious issue with usage especially when I am not in the office and I need to give instructors my PIN number.

EAP-TLS
While SmartBoard do support the installation of TLS certificates for use with cloud-based filtering and 802.1X EAP protocols for wireless authentication, They do not support 802.1X EAP-TLS for certificate-based authentication and it is not possible generating a CSR from the SMART Display required for 802.1X EAP-TLS certificate-based authentication.
This is highly desirable from a security point of view

"Dance Mode" Button
A red button that sits on top of your window - when the teacher or student desires, they push the button and it starts a timed "dance break" with a preselected song. The background could shift to something that matches the beat or music. This could be utilized for a brain break or as a reward for a student's performance (or just a fun way to occasionally connect to your students)

Larger Cursor
Would love a larger cursor when connecting my computer to the board.

Option to disable input popup
I would like the option to disable the popup for switching inputs when you plug something in. Our staff uses multiple inputs and that popup just gets in the way. One froze on the screen for a whole day and the teacher had to work around it. If it is going to be useful, we should have the option to keep it up long enough to be able to get to it before it goes away. So length of time options as well as disabling would be nice.

Minimize Pause Indication + Audio pass through while paused
Hello, I may have a unique request. My school district recently acquired the SMART Board MX series for our classrooms in order to replace our aging projectors. I frequently use to the pause function to flip through slides on my computer, which is tethered to the board. (It works better for me than using it as an extended display). While paused, the old projector would display a small, unobtrusive "freeze" message in the top right corner. I could flip back and forth subtly, with minimal visual disturbance for my students. On the SMART Board however, it displays a huge pause…

Please update MX086-V2 drivers to fix issue with On-Screen keyboard and Windows
We have an Smart Board MX086-V2 and at some time the on-screen keyboard started to not pop-up when the signal from our PC with Windows 10 is shown in the board. The on-screen keyboard works well with the board menus (settings and so on) and even when Windows is configured in tablet mode. But with normal mode of Windows we are forced to use the Windows virtual keyboard. SmartTech support says it is a bug in the latest V2 drivers (we have an MX086-V4 working well). Please consider an update in the Windows drivers or the board embedded system to…

Make your boards more modular
Instead of coming out with the latest and greatest versions to mimic Apple’s unrealistic release schedule, please make your boards more module and spend the time to upgrade and update existing technology. Nothing says “Don’t buy more Smartboards” like knowing your current tech you just spent hundreds of thousands on is now headed for the discontinued section. Make the side input ports more modular and replaceable (HDMI 2.1 for instance), and include cameras, RFID readers and other future enhancements all as modules on current boards. I don’t know who thought it would be a good idea to have your current…

Implement video support on the MX v2 series to allow 16:10 aspect ratio via a firmware update. The school I provide technical support for have acquired laptops with a native 1920x1200 resolution requires recalibration/orient and we're hoping to maximise screen real estate on the SMARTBoards

Please update the V2 iQH811 boards to actually turn off the on-screen keyboard.
Please update the V2 iQH811 boards to actually turn off the on-screen keyboard when a physical keyboard is plugged in. As of now the toggle does nothing but the toggle works on newer boards. Please continue to support older hardware (that is not really old at all).
