Translating ink to text from one language to another on GX v3
Translating the ink you write on the board into another language for pupils who are EAL or currently unable to speak the language they are learning in the classroom. To allow them to see English (for example) next to their mother tongue to support them in their lessons.

Plan updates from the adminportal
Updates are currently being sent directly to the Smarttech boards. As a result, teachers receive unexpected pop-up notifications asking whether the update can be installed. This is not ideal when they are in front of a full classroom. It would be preferable if we could manage this from the admin portal. Ideally, we would like the ability to first install the updates on a few devices as a test. If everything works well, we could then schedule the updates for all devices at a convenient time.

SMART Board GX Series Feedback
1) Because it conflicts with how other displays function, I think the audio mute icon should not persist on the screen if the volume is turned down to 0 with the Volume Minus button.
2) I know it can be turned off, but the Screen Sharing floating window should be Off by default. It's annoying that it persists when an active input (such as HDMI 1) is on the screen.
3) It would be nice if there were an Input Select button on the Home Screen rather than having to press the little arrow button on the side, then select…

Ability to lock the buttons so that students can not play with them.
OR
A cover to hide the buttons.
OR
Move the buttons to the side of the screen: top-right and top-left.
It will stop little fingers from pressing buttons that they should not be able to reach3 votesThe ability to lock and unlock the convenience buttons on the display's front control panel is already supported on GX-V2 and GX-V3. This setting can be accessed under System > Lock Control > Keypad Lock.

Customize Display name
Paul Colbenson of CREC Museum Magnet School would like the ability to customize Display name of their GX-V3 displays as can be done with MX IQ enabled displays.

Freeze Button
Have a Freeze button on the remote control to freeze and unfreeze the screen easily with one click.
Rather than a button that does multiple things and having to hold the button for ten seconds.
The Freeze button is the most important button on the remote control.

Fix pen mis detection issues on 40-point IR GX boards.
Either have a software update that better detects the thick end of the pen, or design and replace the physical pens with a thicker thick end, so they mis-detect less frequently as the thin end. Video below:

Allow common alerting protocol
Allow SMART GX model TVs to receiving common alerting protocols for campus/school wide emergency alerting. Similar to the Advanced Messaging system, allow for a system that would connect to a building's fire alarm or lock down system using common protocols to display emergency messaging on specific tvs or all tvs.

Homebildschirm
Hallo, wir haben einen SBID-GX086-v2 im Einsatz. Ich habe dort als Hintergrundbild ein individuelles Bild meiner Firma im Einsatz. Leider wird unser Logo etc. komplett von den angehefteten Apps + Uhrzeit/Datum verdeckt.
Die Apps kann man nicht verschieben, z. B. in eine Ecke des Bildschirms. Oder warum kann man die Uhrzeit / Apps nicht ausblenden?
