Individuelle Aus- und Zuschaltung des Werkzeuges Spotlight
Ich möchte den magischen Stift im Deutschunterricht für Lernwörter nutzen. Wort schreiben, Schülerschaft schaut sich das Wort an bis es verschwunden ist und schreibt es anschließend aus dem Gedächtnis auf. Leider funktioniert dies bei Wörtern mit runden oder ovalen Buchstaben (o O) nicht, da sich dabei das Spotlight einschaltet. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit diese Funktion bei dem magischen Stift individuell auszustellen?

It would be nice to have the device boot directly to a lock screen of some sort. Our students realized if the screen is locked they can reboot the tv and access the default user profile which allows access to apps and the web browser

SMART Mirror - Option to share specific app/section
Would like to share a specific app or a part of the app for example a tab of Google Chrome instead of the entire screen. So that one can keep confidentiality without sharing the entire screen. Submitted on behalf of the customer, case: 00766895.

Text and Formatting on Lumio doesn’t match SmartBoard.
Texts and formatting created on Lumio should look the same when opened on the SmartBoard. Currently, I don’t see the point of creating lessons on Lumio when they don’t transfer that way to the SmartBoard for when I am teaching. It’s quite frustrating.

Tagging Interpretation:
Groups with multiple tags should include any board with any of the tags, but currently only include boards with all tags.Suggestion:
Update the system to allow groups to include boards with any of the assigned tags, not just all.

label icons
Labeling the icons on the new SMART iQ home screen would be very helpful. In previous versions, the "circles" said what they were, but now. there are a whole bunch of new icons that are not recognizable to teachers without taking getting started courses or googling them somehow. Since it's iQ, we can't even hover over them to see what they are, so adding labels/words would be great, or bring back circles like the ones that were there before, even better.

Put widgets back in Whiteboard
Please put widgets back on the menu in the Whiteboard app in iQ4. It was in previous versions and was very helpful and accessible when in the whiteboard app. Now it's gone from the Whiteboard menu and teachers have to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get a separate menu that has the widgets. Extra step, not user friendly or intuitive.

App Store
Oh no, the old App Store is gone?!?!? Having Google Play Store is great, but taking away the app store with the orange tile that was in previous iQ versions is horrible. It was really nice to be able to open that up and scroll through available apps. Without it, and only being able to search the Google Play Store, this forces teachers to have to take a bunch of time Googling what apps are out there in the world and then searching for them in iQ. Enhanced User Data Management on SMART Boards
Request to add a feature in SMART Remote Management that prevents local storage of files on SMART Boards or automatically wipes all user data daily without requiring a factory reset.

Download screen capture as .jpg
It would be helpful if teaches have the option to save a screenshot as a JPG. Currently, when a browser screen is annotated, it can only be downloaded as a whiteboard file. This is limited. If a teacher wants two browser screenshots side by side on one whiteboard page - for comparison or analysis - this cannot be done. If screenshots can be downloaded as JPGs, then they could be added to a blank whiteboard page and inserted like images.

Settings and apps in iQ synced with my SMART account on every display
It would be very helpful if the entire display settings and app data available in iQ (wallpapers, language settings, app logins...) were synced with the Smart account (stored in Smart cloud) and it would transfer into every display that I log in to.
All display settings and installed apps are currently stored in the display after login. The only thing available on every displays after login is the data stored in the Lumio.
Are there ever plans to extend this to at least change the language settings and wallpaper on all displays where one logs in? The ideal situation would…9 votesSettings sync is currently in the backlog. We're hoping this will be another reason why users will want to sign in using their SMART Accounts.
App sync unfortunately will not be possible as there are many factors that will lead to this not working, such as: the board doesn't have enough space to install the app, the app isn't compatible with a particular board, the publisher of the app have withdrew the app from further distribution.

Facilitaría mucho el trabajo y no sería necesario llevar un pendrive usb, si se pudiera acceder dentro de una nube donde se alojaran los archivos de la SmartBoard, de manera que se pudieran subir o descargar desde un ordenador a través de la nube, sin utilizar el pendrive.

Update indication
We'd like to see some form of indicator on the Apps that there's an available update for them. Perhaps an option to add "automatically update apps" as well? So when you update ur board, it checks the apps too?

Tabbed text resizes on Duplicate Page
Tab now works when typing but when I then Duplicate Page (Ctrl+D in Pages) the text in any box with a tab in it resizes to about 50-60 pt and loses the tabs.

Reports
For a School District with many smartboards to manage, there are some tools in the form of Reports that would be very useful in order to keep track of incidents on smartboards.
The report I have been needing lately is regarding Reboots, we have many users not reporting issues all the time, but we noticed they continuosly restart their smartboards and we want to know why.So on my dream report I would see:
-Reboot history (numbers)
-Time of the day reboots are happening
-Origin (spontaneous, remote, via front button, rocker button, etc)

All inserted videos to be deleted as needed in Whiteboard App
In the Whiteboard app, we've been able to insert a video(s) on a page to have ready for instruction and it would open full screen. Just recently, we lost the ability to delete the video. PLEASE reinstate this ability to resize and delete if needed. Having teaching resources at your fingertips is priceless. Thanks

In the meantime, this is how some users are deleting videos:
1. Hold and drag video (even just an inch or something) so the light blue annotation selection rectangle shows up
2. Put a second finger on the video (might need to make a motion so the whiteboard acknowledges the second finger, such as the increase/decrease video size motion)
3. Remove the original finger and pan on some empty space on the whiteboard. You will see the radar view's gridlines move to let you know you were successful.
The above guarantees you can always select the video, and doesn't launch the video

Provide a way to lock the display from unintended use (in a shared environment)
It would be really helpful if the screen could be unlocked using a card that is different from the one used to lock the display, or some other means of locking down the display from unrestricted use. In our case there are many different teachers using the board and we need to keep students from using it. If one teacher locks the display with a card, only that teacher can unlock it with their card, if another teacher wants to unlock the display they must enter the PIN, which students would be able to see.
