SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store improvements
The new SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store should just provide apps which are really useful to be installed on a SMART Board® interactive display. I've tried to install the screen record app provided in the SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store, but this app had been designed obviously only for smartphones. Enable users to push out certificates via the SMART Remote Management Console
When I click on a device or a device filter group and then choose Repositories actions->Settings->Add New->Certificates and try to Install a CA Certificate to my devices it always come back with the error 'Name' field has errors. I contacted support and they stated that this functionality is not supported at the time. They didn't know when or if it ever would be.
I would find this quite helpful as we have around a 100 boards in our schools and I would much rather be able to push out our certificates than visit each board to install them.

USB soundbar capability
It would be great if, similarly to a USB webcam and microphone, the Smart Board could recognize a USB sound bar as an output device.

Changing a pen's default appearance within SMART iQ
Hi SMART,
It would be really great if it's possible to change the default pen/ink thickness within SMART iQ whiteboard and annotation layer (like changing a pen's default appearance within SMART Notebook by using the properties tab).

AZERTY keyboard layout
Please program IQ to recognize AZERTY keyboard layout. Currently no matter what keyboard is connected, it is recognized as QWERTY - Claude Taillefer

File input in whiteboard app
It would be perfect if I could insert local files directly into the smartboard app. Gladly via USB. It would also be nice to be able to integrate remote drives, for example a NAS.

Screen Share incoming connection identification
It would be a great feature to have some identification method for incoming connections (before the connection authorization itself), as a way to have non requested connections attempts under control within the classroom.

Disabled Message on Display

It would be great if you could show a message on the Display, when a specific app through the Remote Management is disabled. Like "This app is disabled"

System-wide Bottom-mode, placing all navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Some teachers can't reach the back-button and address bar in top of the screen, and that is a huge problem. - A system-wide Bottom-mode would fix this.

Board Sharing Code
Teachers in our district would currently like to share SMART Notebook presentations from their laptop to other Teachers boards in the school building. As of right now getting the code for their board is somewhat cumbersome. The teachers are logged into the board with their school email, but have to log out of the board to see the code. The code is found by clicking on the icon on the right that looks like a cell phone/tablet. That icon disappears when they log into the board with their email. This typically wouldn't be a problem, but the board code changes/times…
4 votesThanks for the feedback. I understand the frustrations with pairing a board using the board code. We’re currently working on a solution that will greatly simplify this by getting rid of the board code in an upcoming release.
The plan is to SMART Notebook files that are uploaded to suite.smarttech.com to also be accessible from within the board’s Files Library when the teacher logs in to the board with the same account.
