Give the iQ software a full web browser (like Chrome or Firefox) so that interactive web sites like "Canvas" will work without errors
Place a full web browser on the system (such as Chrome or Firefox) so that Teachers can use Canvas and other interactive websites without errors or compatibility issues right from the board. This would make the learning experiance in our classrooms seamless and take less time from the teachers. instead of forcing them to setup a laptop/desktop to do simple web based things.

Unfortunately, SMART cannot recommend an alternative browser for older displays running SMART iQ3 as the hardware does not meet the system requirements for these browsers. You may try installing an alternative browser from the App Store at your own risk for your own evaluation purposes.
The SMART Boards with iQ4 include an officially licensed version of Google Chrome out of the box. For older legacy displays running iQ3, there is an optional hardware upgrade via an AM60 OPS appliance that will bring all of the capabilities and features of iQ4 and the Google Play ecosystem. The browser is the biggest limitation on these SMART panels. Because it is so limited, we had to purchase Chromeboxes for every SMART panel, and train the teachers to switch to that when they need YouTube, Google Drive, SSO, etc.
