MX-V5 - Add RS-232 command to turn off screen
On the MX-V5, there is no documented method to command the display to turn off the screen using RS-232/Room Control (as occurs when pressing the power button briefly). This would be a useful addition as it would allow the controller to turn the screen off whilst still allowing iQ 4 to run in the background and leave the OPS slot powered. The only current options are to use the power state commands to put the display into the standby or off power state, both of which stop iQ entirely and cut power to the OPS slot
5 votesWe're unlikely to be adding additional commands to the RS-232 command protocol. However, stay tuned for a network-based room control mechanism that will have this capability.

Touch Screen Sensitivity
I've had several customers comment on how they would like to be able to adjust the touch screen sensitivity. The main reason would be to decrease the sensitivity to avoid false triggers.

Gestures for Smart Mirror
It would be nice to have gestures for SMART Mirror, like being able to scroll a webpage.

Please update the V2 iQH811 boards to actually turn off the on-screen keyboard.
Please update the V2 iQH811 boards to actually turn off the on-screen keyboard when a physical keyboard is plugged in. As of now the toggle does nothing but the toggle works on newer boards. Please continue to support older hardware (that is not really old at all).

SMART Remote Management Feature Matrix
Please can a feature list/matrix be added for each deployable setting against the various models of SMART Board.
A recent Support ticket has uncovered a number of functions of Remote Management are not available on GX Series boards. There is no indication on the Device Management Guide for which features will or will not work on various boards.
This would be useful information for all to prevent unnecessary troubleshooting and support tickets that are not available on various models.
3 votesWhen a feature must be done differently for one or more of our SMART Board models, it is noted in the management guide. In iQ3, this is generally an exception, and most features apply universally.
With our next generation panels running iQ4, we will be expanding this documentation. We may be able to include more detail within the iQ3 panel differences as well, and we will keep this under advisement.

Humidity/Temperature sensors
Make the values of the humidity and temperature sensors available via RS232. With this you would be able to create perfect learning conditions if you use these values in combination with a room control system which now can control the air quality or the temperature conditions in the classroom.

IP based control or upgrade on RS232
It would be nice to be able to send many commands via RS232 at once and that the product can support that. Example: sending a volume up command consistently by +1 though a room controller.
Alternatively, it would be nice to have a way to control your SMART products with room control hardware using IP based controls.

Bluetooth-support
I wasn't able to find a forum for our boards, so I'll just add my feedback here.
We have 7 MX265-series- and 4 SPNL-6265-Boards, and still increasing. In our school, a school for children with hearing disabilities, the demand for Bluetooth-speakers is increasing.
Our teachers would like to be able to connect small, portable Bluetooth-speakers directly to the Smart Board. The students can hold the loudspeaker close to their ears and listen to music, TV, etc.
This feature seems to be missing. Will you include it in a future SW-release?
The newer Boards all have Bluetooth-support, so it can't be…6 votesunder review ·AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) responded
Future releases of iQ will look to have better Bluetooth audio routing capabilities.
