Lock feature "allow vertical or horizontal move" as you can in Notebook
Being able to change the lock features would allow for interactive options for students to move items and slide things in a uniform manner. This is currently available in Notebook and it would be great to add it into Lumio.

Keep Groupings in Lumio Lessons
When you are adding a group activity to a Lumio lesson, it creates groups. If you create another group activity later on in the lesson, it does not save the groups from earlier in the lesson. It would be great to have a choice--keep same groups from before or create new groupings!

Students have access to create their own resources in Lumio.

Would like to have other options to add video not just you tube. Perhaps I created a minilesson via loom and want to post that instead.

allow for shout it out to have images AND text in the same file
Shout it Out allows for text OR images. As students upload their images, they could add text to describe their image, add name/group, etc to have more information in one place.

Restrict students from changing their names in Lumio.
Allow teachers to restrict students from changing their names when logging into Lumio.
Ex: Students continue to change their names to something inappropriate and then respond with inappropriate messages in Lumio activities. Teachers then have difficulty tracing which student this is tied to so it would be helpful for teachers to restrict students from changing their names.43 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for making us aware of this issue. We are looking at ways to help teachers better identify signed in students and hold them accountable.

Allow Immersive Reader language to be set for multiple pages
Currently Immersive Reader is reset for every single page. It would be nice to change the language or other settings just once, then have it applied to every single page in the Lumio lesson after that. That way the kids don't have to set it for every single page and waste valuable instruction time.
42 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We'll investigate how Immersive Reader settings can be persisted.

Leaving teacher feedback on Individual Handouts and Group Activities
Right now, if a teacher wants to leave feedback on a student handout, they can write anywhere on the slide. The student can move or delete the feedback, so when the teacher comes back to the slide they don't remember what feedback they left, if the feedback was addressed, or if the student just deleted it without reading it. To keep student work from getting too crowded with feedback and responses, is there a way to leave the feedback off to the side and allow students to indicate that they saw the feedback?

Ability to add a "Stop Wall" where students can't go past that in during a live lesson when it's switched to student paced.
I would love to see some sort of a student-paced accessibility block or wall option that we could add in to lessons. Here's why: I may have a PDF of a story on one page, and questions over it on the next page. I would want students to be able to move back and forth between the story and questions, but not be able to proceed in student-paced mode to see the answers and explanations that come after it! Or, if students are more advanced, they could have an optional enrichment slide to complete after the main activity while others…

Live Preview of Handouts
Live Preview of Handouts (thumbnails). Allow teachers to have a live preview of handouts w/o selecting the individual handout. So, where we now see the student name, the actual handout would appear

Reports
Teachers should be able to download reports on who participated in the lesson. This will also help teachers identify who answered what question correctly and review responses at a later time.

Create/import a roster of students
I would like to be able to create or import a roster in SLS where I put in the student google account emails from my class and attach them to my class. So when they sign in they would already be attached to my class. I teach Kindergarten remotely and anything to make it easier for kindergarteners to be able to access my lessons with minimal steps would be great.

Ability to SAVE and re-access later for the student
Please allow students to save the NB file that is shared with them along with any changes they make. Currently they have to take screenshots to do this. It would be great if they could come back and view any files they have accessed via a teacher's classroom.

Is it possible to have a Handout Folder in Lumio of all the students' work not just in the individual lessons themselves?

Download student worksheets
Making 140 copies of the same packet, taking all those packets home on Friday in a filing box looking like I have just been fired, spreading out the packets on our dining room table, angering my wife and giving me anxiety are the days of the past.
THANK YOU LUMIO for releasing me of this burden!
To help my gradebook, I would love to download the edited student worksheets to place in a file on my computer.
This would allow teachers to more effectively share work with Special Education Case Managers for student work samples.
This would allow grading teachers…40 votesplanned · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks Hunter for your feedback and all the great example use cases. Student data and reporting is a key priority for the Lumio team in 2022, and what you described is certainly on the roadmap.

Collaboration - Late Adding
It would be great if students could join a collaborative activity. For example, I started an activity on Friday, and we kept it going on Monday. Students who weren't here on Friday could not be added to a group without restarting the activity and resetting everyone's work. Being able to add students to a group once the activity is started would help catch up absent students without putting them in a new handout/activity by themselves.

Allow for longer answers (short answer or essay) in assessments
Short answers are only one to two words long right now. That's not enough to develop an answer at a higher order thinking level. Students need space for at least a paragraph for a short answer, or longer for an essay answer.

Download my lesson
I create my lessons, often at home, on my school-assigned MacBook Air but our SMART Boards have dedicated Windows laptops. I would like to be able to upload my lessons to my suite.smarttech.com online account and later download them onto my classroom's SMART Board laptop.
39 votesHi Donna. Thanks for your feedback. Downloading lessons from suite.smarttech.com is planned work for this year. Stay tuned.
