pdf
I know that we are now able to download the actual Lumio deck as a PDF file, however I'd like to be able to download completed student work as a PDF. My students do AMAZING work and I would like to be able to print it to share with parents, or hang in my classroom for displays. I currently have to take single screenshots of student work. It would be helpful if there were a way to download the work as a PDF for easy printing.
35 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the feedback. We are exploring providing a more detailed lesson report that includes an export of all student work from activities.
In the meantime, an alternative to taking a screenshot is to open the student work and print the page or save the printed page as a PDF.

Allow educators to have more than one Lumio lesson open at a time
Allow educators to have more than one Lumio lesson open at a time, so that we could be teaching with one Lumio lesson in one tab and editing the same lesson or a different lesson at the same time in another tab. Being able to edit or use more than one Lumio lesson at a time would be a gamechanger for virtual teachers!
25 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the feedback. We are exploring allowing teachers to work with multiple Lumio lessons in different tabs.

Allow Basic Default Settings in Whiteboard to be Adjusted and Customized Permanently
I'm a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia and I had a Smart Board installed in my classroom this year. I really want to use Lumio more but there are several features that I believe can be adjusted to make the lives of teachers a little easier. One of those features is to allow teachers' customized preferences to be set to default instead of constantly having to change them to suit our needs. For example, I highly dislike the thinnest pen setting, and I prefer the medium or larger tipped pen. But every time I open a new file…

Add a camera tool in Lumio
In order for students to take a pic of their work to add it to Lumio, they must use the camera tool from their Chromebook then navigate the pic from their downloads folder on CB to their Lumio page. Having a camera tool in Lumio would make this process a lot more efficient and not interrupt the flow of the lesson.
6 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the suggestion. We'll look into if it's possible to capture images directly from a camera source.

YouTube Viewing Options for Teacher-Paced Lessons
Currently when presenting a teacher-paced lesson, students are able to start an embedded YouTube video instantly on their devices. There is no way for the teacher to control when students are able to start the video which often causes a lot of disruption within the class. Sometimes teachers want to play a YouTube video for the whole class to view together. It would be extremely helpful if teachers could play a YouTube video where students see the video in sync on their devices - OR - where the teacher could at least be able to click the option for students…
71 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for the great suggestion. We will explore how to provide better control of YouTube video playback in teacher-paced settings.

Add calming music to the timer as an option
I would like a feature where either there is a predetermined set of a few options of calming music to play while the timer runs OR a way to link music from YouTube, etc. to run while the timer runs :)

Instructional Audio within Lumio Games
EX: saying a word on a flip out card, or a specific card for sorting/matching. This would be super beneficial for lower level learners, or students learning English

Divided Shape Notebook Import to Lumio
I would love it if the Divided Shapes created in Notebook worked when imported into Lumio. Also, I would love it if you could change the font, size, and color of the fractions if you choose to show fractions.

Recently Deleted Files
Have a space for recently deleted files to be held or recovered. If I delete a file accidentally, having a space that holds these files for 7-30 days. Allowing easier recovery.

More Characters on the Rank Order
I would love to be able to use sentences on the rank order. For instance, students can rank events in order of when they happened from a particular part of history. Right now you can only rank words, but ranking sentences would be amazing!
1 voteunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedWe will consider making the layout of Rank Order more flexible to accommodate longer text.

student audio
Allow students to see the screen that they are recording audio for. For example, would like students to be able to see the numbers they are counting forwards or backwards as they record their voice. Currently record feature covers the entire screen.
1 voteunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the suggestion. We will explore if we can make it easier for students to record audio while still being able to read the content of the page.

Timers (not widgets) for Whiteboard/Lumio lessons
I would like to be able to embed a timer (or multiple timers) on a Whiteboard page, which I can then start independently (each timer). I like using multiple timers (widgets) to drive instruction, but I have to pull each timer widget onto the Whiteboard each time.
23 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedWe are looking to add timer functionality to Lumio.

Restrict students from changing their names in Lumio.
Allow teachers to restrict students from changing their names when logging into Lumio.
Ex: Students continue to change their names to something inappropriate and then respond with inappropriate messages in Lumio activities. Teachers then have difficulty tracing which student this is tied to so it would be helpful for teachers to restrict students from changing their names.52 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for making us aware of this issue. We are looking at ways to help teachers better identify signed in students and hold them accountable.

Magic Pen
I would LOVE to see the Magic Pen on Whiteboard. More and more teachers are signing into the board and delivering their lessons through Whiteboard/Lumio but they miss Magic Pen. How great would it be to have the benefits of Magic Pen? Disappearing Ink, Spotlight, and Zoom!
52 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We are interested in supporting the benefits of Magic Pen. How would you expect this tool to work on student devices when the teacher uses it on the board?

Being able to change background and backside on the cards when making a memory
Hi! I´m working with young people (ages from 16-20) with learning disabilities and other disabilities (e.g autism) at a High school and I would like to be able to change the background for the memory-activity and also the backside for the memory-cards. The memory-cards all have different figures at the back and that makes it difficult for our students, if it would be possible to have the same backside on all cards they would be more like the "physical" memory-cards we use. When it comes to the background it can sometimes be better to have a more neutral background that…
4 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the suggestion. We may explore more neutral themes for the Memory Match activity.

text on activity thumbnail in editor
When editing, if I have multiple "shout it out" slides, I do not know which is which. This also applies to multiple polls, quizzes, etc.
It would be helpful to have some of the text/title show up in the thumbnail of those activities within the editor.1 voteunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the feedback. You can set a name for each activity, which will show on the page, and we will look into how to display this name in the page thumbnail for easy viewing.

Allow Immersive Reader language to be set for multiple pages
Currently Immersive Reader is reset for every single page. It would be nice to change the language or other settings just once, then have it applied to every single page in the Lumio lesson after that. That way the kids don't have to set it for every single page and waste valuable instruction time.
45 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We'll investigate how Immersive Reader settings can be persisted.
