Have Students See What Teacher Writes on Teacher Handout I would love for students to be able to see as I model working out examples on the teacher handout. Also, after modeling on the teacher handout, I would like to be able to click/toggle something that allows students to be able to then write on their handouts, but can still see the teacher handout with notes as they continue working on their handout individually.

Thanks for the feedback. We will consider this as future improvements for the Handout dashboard. In the meantime, you can have the handout as a normal page before the Handout activity. This way, when you model the activity on the normal page, it will be visible to all students.

More Teacher Control on Who Edits Whiteboard I would love to be able to easily toggle between 3 options on the Whiteboard (#3 especially):
All Can Edit (student's names appear next to their edits so I know who did what)
Only Teacher Can Edit
Selected Student(s) Can Edit (the teacher is able to place a check next to student's name(s) who are allowed to edit) ***

Also, how can you copy a question while making a game so I don't have to do the same thing over and over again? I'd like to copy and just put in one new answer.
I won't use this site without these features. It takes too long to reenter things over and over... especially if you want to provide some choice for students on their review.
Apologies if I just couldn't figure it out.3 votes -

Six ideas I'm a moderate to severe special education teacher. All of my students are non-verbal and do not read. I use a large number of images that are moved or selected so that they can demonstrate understanding. Often we do an activity where they do work on an iPad while I model on the board. Some simple features that I would really like would be:
- Drag and drop images onto a page.
- Lock the size and rotation of objects but allow them to be moved around the page.
- Allow the teacher to demonstrate on a worksheet while students work on the…

Make math tools, equations, and symbols available within activities like Shout It Out!, Team Quiz, etc. In setting up Shout It Out! activities or Team Quiz activities, we cannot include math tools, equations, or symbols in question prompts or multiple choice options. It would be fantastic to have a formative assessment tool like these that allow me to pose question using math tools, equations, and symbols as well as enable students to respond to questions with math tools, equations, and symbols available to more clearly convey their thinking! :)

teacher note section I would love to have a section specifically for the teacher's use, where they can make notes and comments that may be needed during the lesson or activity they are conducting. For example, in Keynote, there is a comment section where you can input comments that are not visible to the audience you are presenting to.

Add the math features you have on Smart Notebook to Lumio presentations. It would be nice to have the math tools available on Lumio. Many times I find myself not using Lumio for my Algebra and Geometry classes because there aren't many features to use. Things like polygons, regular polygons, 3-D figures, line tools, equation editors, fraction tools, number lines, etc.

TEACHER TOOLS WRITING TYPING ADVANCED MATH TEXT About a year ago I suggested that the SAME TEACHER TOOLS that are available in SMART NOTEBOOK should be available in Lumio. Magic Pen, shape tools, equation editor for advanced mathematical notation and equations, interactive protractor tool, etc... I still only see basically a pen and highlighter. I would have expected more progress in ALL this time.
