MX-65 Smart board with onboard computer. Have a freeze screen function where what is showing on the screen (youtube) could still be showing but toggle the touch screen off and on. (Special Ed classroom when a student may walk to it and touch it accidently and then it messes up where the video is or goes to another website.)

Wir möchten Ihr Team auf eine wichtige Anfrage aufmerksam machen, die die Nutzung Ihrer Produkte betrifft.
In einigen Grundschulen in Berlin werden SMART Boards der Serie 6075 S eingesetzt, um Schülern eine interaktive Lernumgebung zu bieten. Innerhalb dieser Schülerschaft befinden sich auch sehbehinderte Kinder, für die eine barrierefreie Umgebung von entscheidender Bedeutung ist.
In Anbetracht dessen würden wir uns sehr darüber freuen, wenn Sie die Möglichkeit prüfen könnten, eine barrierfreie Einstellung für die SMART Displays zu implementieren. Diese Einstellung würde es den sehbehinderten Schülern ermöglichen, die Displays effektiver zu nutzen und am Unterricht auf gleicher Augenhöhe teilzunehmen.

Be able to reset NFC ID Card We need to be able to reset ID cards (maybe from the admin console?). As teachers leave the district, many do not care to remove the ID card from their account or their account is terminated before we are able to. Also, we found a card in the hallway with no way to know who's it is. Our collection of unusable cards is rapidly growing.

usb drives The IFP's need a safe eject option for USB Flash drives. There is a safe eject option on computers to keep files from becoming corrupted. These SMART Boards need to have the same option.

Remove ability to do FActory Reset to avoid security. We currently work in a lockdown facility, and wish to limit the students ability to change configurations on the smartboard. As such, we've implemented the lockdown of security settings with a USB certificate.
However, Students can easily do a factory reset on the board through settings-diagnositics.
The ability to reset the board to factory default status completely makes the security lock irrelevant. I understand the need to do a reset should the certificate become lost - or the USB ports become inoperable.
However, perhaps a series of key commands could server this purpose rather than an easily discovered diagnostic command?5 votes -
GX PIN PROBLEM I disabled the embedded OS and also created a PIN for students not to re-enable it and changed the default boot source to my PC. But the problem is that the system still askes PIN when I turn on the display. I do not wish it because students can see PIN while I am entering it. I wish the PC to boot directly without asking for PIN.

Monitoring and management via SNMP We have a stock of about 150 Smart Boards and Smart Displays in our educational institutions.
As a municipality, we are responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting the IT in the facilities. For this, we operate a central management system and monitoring for more than 2000 IP-IT-devices. We would like to integrate the SMART devices there. The easiest way would be to connect them via SNMP. Unfortunately, we could not find any documentation on this.
The remote management offered by SMART is definitely not an option for us because we do not want to operate several monitoring systems and we…3 votes -
SMART Sign-in Issue Signing into the SMART account using Google Authentication does not persist the authentication session to the browser and other apps, so that requires the user to log in a second time. Then, if they want to use a Microsoft App, say PowerPoint on the board, then they have to authenticate a third time. Board authentication has to be reworked by someone who has knowledge and the workflow of system administration.

USB Key as Unlock Allow a configured USB key to unlock the board...display, settings, everything. This would be huge in the edu environment as they usually don’t want students on the board without supervision. These keys could be duplicated by IT admins and handed out to teachers and other staff in order to use the boards. Much like the USB key to keep configuration settings...this would be one key to rule them all (except a whole bunch to make these devices work in education).

Fix GX wallpaper bug The GX boards have a bug that allows a user to change the wallpaper from the built-in browser’s “right click” menu options. Since the option to change wallpaper is configured behind the admin security area, no other application should be able to override this. You can understand how issues can arise in an education system where students have access to the board. Display lock codes don’t work in education because the teachers are forced to unlock the code in front of the students, so codes would last less than a day.

Connecting external grapich tablet It Would be great if there was a way to connect a third part graphic tablet like a wacom via HDMI to the Smart panel. It's strange that Smart doesn't have this option. does any developer have any solution on this? it's possible to modify the Smart Android operating system?

Arabic language support we are in GCC all Arabic counters used smart MX and looking for Arabic Languages pls add.

Fyllnadsfunktion Önskar en fyllnadsfunktion till Smartboard. Ex, jag ritar en cirkel på Whiteboard och sedan med ett enkelt tryck kan färglägga den utan att behöva måla den för hand. Funktionen finns i Smart Notebook så ett förbättringsområde till skärmen när man använder Whiteboard.

Board login Need to have a way to login to the board with Google account that does not require entering username and password on the screen. Also need a way to enter the screen lock PIN without having to do it on the board.
Not practical or secure to do this in front of a class full of students!
Best solution would be through app that connects to board that teacher can login with so it is not seen on board.9 votesunder review ·

Alternative login solutions are being considered for future iterations of iQ. Our latest panels also come with NFC for login, however, this likely will not help if your board currently is not equipped with an NFC reader.

The Smart wall mount is not installation friendly. The screw to lock the mount is not very accessible and make it very difficult to service the mount or just installing it.

Please leave the On of switch button by the AC in. Its better if it is hidden. Also when troubleshooting its the same throughout all boards models.

SMART Remote Management Feature Matrix Please can a feature list/matrix be added for each deployable setting against the various models of SMART Board.
A recent Support ticket has uncovered a number of functions of Remote Management are not available on GX Series boards. There is no indication on the Device Management Guide for which features will or will not work on various boards.
This would be useful information for all to prevent unnecessary troubleshooting and support tickets that are not available on various models.
3 votesWhen a feature must be done differently for one or more of our SMART Board models, it is noted in the management guide. In iQ3, this is generally an exception, and most features apply universally.
With our next generation panels running iQ4, we will be expanding this documentation. We may be able to include more detail within the iQ3 panel differences as well, and we will keep this under advisement.

Change EDID version on v3 boards The option to change EDID version on older boards was very useful as some classrooms have long cable runs which high spec laptops do not work with without changing refresh rate and colour space. By changing the EDID version on the board this made the rooms much more user friendly for a variety of devices.

MX HDMI 1.4b and HDMI 2.0 Problem with MX V3 and V3N HDMI controller settings.
V2 and V2-C had an option for advanced HDMI settings where a customer could set HDMI standard (1.4b or 2.0), HPD impulse, MHL settings and quick USB switching.We noticed that in some regions a lot of schools had received computers from tenders such as HP ProBook 450 G8 and a few others that do not work with HDMI 2.0 standards.
Since the interactive display does not allow changing that setting, the computer does not work with the display no matter the cable that the customer uses.
