  1. Paragraph line spacing is gone in Notebook 23

    Before when you would type, you could go to Format, Paragraph, Line Spacing and change the amount of space between your text. This is a very important feature that was taken out. Without it, you cannot fit the words with images exactly how you want to display them. Please bring this feature back.

  3. Explicitly list post beta features In your documentation

    In your marketing e-Mail for this they say ...
    "You’ll have full access to Notebook 17 for 45 days, but even if you don’t purchase a subscription, you can keep using a limited version of the software for as long as you wish. Even the limited version of Notebook 17 has far more features than Notebook 11.4 and other previous versions!"

    ... could you list explicitly the features that will and won't be retained so that end users can assess whether the post-beta version does indeed meet their requirements.

    Please keep adding other types of LAB Activities based on those from the original LAT. I have a teacher who loves the Matching game from LAT and really wants that to become available in the new LAB. Thanks. :)

  8. Copying and pasting formatting issues in Notebook 23

    When you copy and paste an image, you use to be able to grab the item by selecting it from the bottom right corner and resize it anyway you like. With the 23 version, you can only make it bigger or smaller. In 22, you could stretch or shorten the image in any direction. You can do this with shapes that you create in 23, but you cannot do it with images that you paste from somewhere else. This feature was crucial when trying to fit certain images in specific spaces. Please bring this back, thank you.

  9. Resizing handles should be on all four corners and midway between the corners (as it is in every other piece of software I've ever used).

  13. Exporting to pdf issues in Notebook 23

    Exporting to pdf issues in Notebook 23-
    When exporting as a pdf in 23 the pages are elongated vertically. So you see a lot of white space, then you see the content and then more white space below it. Also, it adds 1-2 blank pages between the pages that has content for no reason. However, if I export it in 22, then the content is exported exactly as it is on the notebook software. Please fix this, thank you.

  14. Word Generator

    I am a first grade reading teacher and have really enjoyed using the word generator. This was a wonderful feature for my homemade games. My students were allowed to practice their sight words and practice a variety of phonics skills. I would really appreciate it if you could bring this back to SMART Notebook. This was a very beneficial feature for my students. Thanks for considering this.

  15. Please make the pen in Smart Notebook default to the smallest size

    The default pen size (3) is too fat to use for writing. Please make it default to size 1 or 2.

  16. "Pairs" is not really the same as "Match 'Em Up". Not being able to play the memory-style game in Notebook 17 is really unfortunate.

    In version 17, my memory games (created from Pairs template in earlier notebook files) are automatically converted into the smart lab game "match 'em up". This really isn't the same - it misses the whole concentration-style game aspect and becomes just another matching task... I may need to roll back to 16.2 as this is one of my students' favorite activities...

  18. Make it possible to get pictures from the Notebook Gallery to insert into LAB activites.

    When using any LAB activity where you would like to insert a picture, make it possible to be able to open the window "Gallery Essentials" (Pictures) to insert pictures that are stored in this file.

  19. Ability to set the default line thickness on pens

    This is something that is requested in every edition - it was added as a SMART setting for the boards with different pens but the MX series or the 24 version of SMART notebook still does not have any user customizable settings for default pen line width. We still have to click pen, line size dropdown, smallest option, EVERY TIME we change colors. It's infuriating!

  20. Your new update doesn't print clear copies of images when printing in full screen mode. My workbooks are now useless

    Please fix blurry image issue. You have destroyed my workbooks for my chorus classes by making them unable to print. I am VERY disappointed!
