Infinite cloner with move options
It would be very useful to have move options with the infinite cloner. Currently, and object that is created with the infinite cloner can be stretched, rotated, etc. I would like the ability to use infinite cloner, but choose whether or not the clones can be resized and/or rotated - similar to the options to allow an object to move, or move and rotate, etc. but applied to the clones. My young students think it is funny to change the size and orientation of the object, and lose focus on the intent of the lesson (such as adding to a…

REINSTATE COMPATIBILITY WITH RESPONSE PE CLICKERS
IN CASES WHERE YOU DONT WANT YOUR AUDIENCE TO BE DISTRACTED WITH THEIR PHONES, LET US COLLECT ANSWERS WITH THE EXISTING CLICKERS/SMART RESPONSE PE HARDWARE. WHY MAKE THEM INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW SOFTWARE, AND OFFER NO CURRENT ALTERNATIVE? WHAT INCOMPETENCE !

Bring back CTRL-drag to duplicate items
For most of the almost-two-decades that I've used Notebook (prior to Notebook 23) I could always press CTRL and then click/drag an object on a PC, leaving the original in place but also dragging a duplicate to the new cursor location.
This is a practically universal behavior across all software I use that deal with graphics or even text objects.
I assume CMD-click/drag on a Mac achieved the same.
This inexplicably no longer works. Please bring it back! This post echoes another post I made three years and several Notebook releases ago. It got a decent number of votes and…

Notebook Screen Shade Palette
(Notebook 26) "I don't like that the screen shade is changing color... I teach on a tablet and keep bumping it by accident and it is disruptive. Can I adjust this setting? Ideally, I would have access to the palette of colors available for the shade and I could turn off all but one (so that when I bump the shade it would change from gray to gray)" Submitted on behalf of customer, case 895259

Make it an option to set the pen to thin as a default.
This is such a challenge when I'm teaching in full screen mode. I always want the pen on the thinnest setting but when I want to change colors it defaults back to the thicker line. I have to exit full screen mode and hten there are several clicks to fix it. This can be annoying when teaching.

Hotkey to ignore alignment guides
The alignment guides are a very useful feature and being able to snap to them is great. However, when there are many objects on the page (such as some ink), this will frequently snap to unhelpful things. Would it be possible to implement a hotkey, such as Alt or Shift that will prevent snapping while the key is held? Many drawing packages use hotkey to temporarily prevent snapping while the key held. Notebook would benefit greatly from this.

Equation Tool - Notebook Software 25.1
I upgraded my Notebook software to the latest, 25.1.2254.1, and the equation tool became extremely bad. The math tool creates the new equations in big fonts and I have to make them smaller, then duplicate that initial equation and update it to create new equations. The problem is that the new SMART software keeps the same size. Attached is a sample. I created a new equation (the -2), then duplicated it and changed the number to zero (0). SMART Notebook made the zero wider to keep the same size of window. Now I duplicated the "-2" and changed it to…

Prioritizing Stability Over Flash: A Math Teacher’s Plea for Functional Updates
To a SMART Board Representative, I have been using SMART Boards and SMART Notebook software for nearly 20 years. I began using your technology when few educators were willing to adopt it, and I have taught professional development sessions focused on using the software to improve classroom pedagogy. I have also attended seminars related to your products and shared suggestions for software improvement over the years. Because of this long history, I feel compelled to express my disappointment that many critical issues affecting daily classroom use, particularly for teachers remain unaddressed. I have met with representatives who, while well intentioned,…

The undo algorithm is inconsistent
In SMART Notebook 23.2, the algorithm for undo when inking seems to be counter-intuitive. Sometimes, it just undoes the most recently inked thing, which is what I would expect. Other times, it undoes the last 2 minutes worth of writing. Oddly, if I erase some ink and then click undo, it does NOT undo the erasure, but rather undoes the ink that was written earlier and leaves the partially erased ink there. Can your developers please debug/refine the undo algorithm in SMART Notebook?
