Go back to the 2022 version.
Better because you brought back the "Extend Page" feature. I do not like what has been done to the View Screens tab. 100% is way too big and when you reduce the size it just cuts the whole thing down to a tiny box....I keep trying to use the new version but I find things that I don't like as I use it. I will always go back to 22 version as long as it is available.
Please just stop trying to improve on the 22 version. It was already great.7 votes -
I hate that line spacing disappeared and that editing is now near impossible. Notebook has been ruined.
Bring back the easier editing and line spacing from all the earlier versions. I despise the current Notebook iteration.

equation editor
The new version has removed the good equation editor and has put the terrible one back in. The current one is nowhere near being adequate as it is hard to use and makes all my previous files not work. It was also removed on the previous update but finally people came to their senses and added it back in. Please put the old editor back in as it is vastly superior to the new one.

Saving font type and size
Every time I start writing a new piece of text, it goes back to Arial Size 36. I have to manually change it to what I want. Please can it be made so it saves our preference.

"Mask" vs.Crop
The "mask" feature is inefficient. It launches in the center at a small size when it would be much better if it launched at the edges of the image. Both the mask frame and the actual image can be moved, which is frustrating.
Why not just make it a cropping feature like everyone is used to??

I would like the ability to zoom using CTRL + Scroll Up/Down or the shortcut CTRL and (+/-).

Crop feature
Why is there still no crop feature for photos in Notebook? This is a basic feature, and is incredibly limiting while using Notebook.
It's another one of the major limitations of Notebook that make me turn to other apps.

Random tools
I miss the RANDOM TOOL animations. I teach English and I have been using Notebook since 2006. I have made loads of Random Pictures files. They are great for introducing vocabulary and checking that is is memorised. I also use the RANDOM letters and RANDOM numbers a lot.

Support for newer Ubuntu-Distributions
We need updates for the Linux-Version!
With Ubuntu 16.04 reaching EOL in the near future, we need an update for the Linux-Packages to be able to install them on 18.04 or even 20.04. We don't need the features from the newer Versions, we just need official support for Version 11 for newer Ubuntu Distros. Without it, schools here in Europe trying to teach using Linux need to buy more PCs and Windows Licences just for using the Smartboards they already own, which is money that could very well be spend in more important areas. Fonts!
When I create a Notebook file on my computer, I use custom fonts to make it more visually appealing. When I send the files to SMART Online Learning Suite, the fonts change to the defaults and the formatting gets ruined. It would be great if there was a way to preserve the fonts, or add custom fonts to SMART Learning Suite.

Make it an option to always have the thin line as the default size when using pens.
When writing with the pens, the default line is thick. It would be nice to have the default option to be the thin line, or at least, make it so you can choose it once while you're working. Instead, you have to reset it each time you pick up the pen.

Different colour backgrounds on in-built Whiteboard (Smartboard 6000)
In the in-built Whiteboard, we currently have access to lined, grid, dotted or grey background. Several children in my school have problems dealing with text on white background. Please can we have some other colours (pastel).

Sentence Arrange
In earlier versions of Notebook, there was a Sentence Arrange activity. I loved this activity! As a French/Spanish teacher, I used it in many different ways: putting numbers in order, putting days of the week or months of the year in order, putting conversations in order, etc. This activity, Sentence Arrange, is technically available in the Version 18 Toolkit but it is unfortunately garbage! Highlighting covers text when exporting as pdf
I often work with text or text inserted as a picture and then highlight certain phrases in our discussion on class. I then share the boardwork with my class via our VLE. Since I updated to 16.2, however, the highlighting bars cover the text completely so that you cannot read anymore what's underneath. With text I can get around it by moving the text to the foreground, with picture it is not possible. Please correct this. Up until 16.1 that was not a problem.

I love love love having all the Lab activities move out to student devices
I would love to see more lab activities that can have students in groups and that look like monster quiz though. My students are highly engaged in this and it really allows us to focus on big emphasis areas in our curriculum of communication and collaboration.
