It would be beneficial to make the whiteboard more classroom-friendly by automatic locking of of graphics, and other items that teachers add to the whiteboard so that only the teacher can move or edit them. Students should only be able to edit or move their own text and images and should not be able to alter or move another student's work.1 vote -

Bring back full screen for camera app
The camera app used to take up the entire screen and now if only displays on half the screen. I would like you to update the camera app to allow for full screen again. As an art teacher only having half the space on the screen is impeding student learning.

Please add a "Select All" option in Class Sessions for a mass delete. It is time consuming having to delete each session individually.

Opt Out of Class Sessions
Allow teachers to opt out of Class Sessions.
This is a great feature for teachers who teach more than one class of the same grade, but not so for those that do not. Teachers are finding it tedious to have to delete a Class Session everytime thay open the "master" file in My Library.1 vote -

In live mode, if teacher has selected "Teacher handout," subsequent handout pages should default to "teacher handout" while in live mode. If teacher has selected "Dashboard," subsequent pages should default to "Dashboard" mode.

Lunch count for widget wall
I love the Widget Wall currently in the Manage Class tab in Beta. It would be extremely helpful to add a lunch count option or a simple custom question feature so teachers can create their own prompt, such as lunch choice. Students could respond at the start of the day by selecting their choice on the SMART Board.
Since teachers are required to submit lunch count every morning, this would be a valuable addition to the current Widget Wall features. It would also be helpful if responses updated live as students interact with the board, while still displaying the other…

Include an "extend page" button at the bottom of each slide so that you can increase the amount of writable page space.

Support "Open with Lumio" from Google Drive on iQ Boards — auto-import files directly
When using the Google Drive app on a SMART iQ Board, selecting "Open with Lumio" from a Notebook file's context menu opens Lumio's My Library but does not trigger an import. Teachers are left with no file and no feedback. The expected behavior — that the file is automatically imported and opened in Lumio — works correctly on Mac and Windows, but is broken on iQ boards.
This is particularly disruptive in classroom settings where teachers store their Notebook files in Google Drive and rely on this workflow to get their lesson open quickly at the board.

Class settings Screen
The Class Screen menu could be improved to make it easier and faster for teachers to use during a live lesson.
I attached a mockup image with a few possible changes. One suggestion is to make Live Mode and Review Mode more visible as buttons, with the background color changing to show which mode is currently active. This would make it easier for teachers to quickly know what mode they are in and switch modes when needed.
Another suggestion is to make better use of the space for student names. During class, teachers do not want to spend time scrolling…

Add a verified review badge for teachers
Would be great if Lumio could display some kind of verification badge
on teacher reviews — similar to how trusted review platforms handle
this. When I'm looking at feedback inside the platform, it's hard to
tell which reviews are from verified educators vs. just anyone.For context on how this is usually done outside education tech, I've
seen interesting approaches at https://reviews.help — they focus a
lot on review authenticity and verification across platforms. Worth
a look for inspiration on UI patterns.Would help build more trust in the community feedback inside Lumio.

shout it out
Allow more characters for the shout it out or create a new option of "Sharing out" that kids can have longer responses that functions just like shout it out.
Also, allow students to see the responses later on their devices after the lesson ends.

Desmos - Students need to be able to save edits.
Students can save changes to a Desmos page that I added. Currently, student make some changes and go to the next page in Lumio. Then, they go back and all the data is lost. I didn't even realize this until I delivered the lesson. I was not a happy camper.

Ability to Color Code Folders
I would like the ability to color-code folders in Lumio.
Right now, I organize my folders by placing numbers in front of the folder names, such as [01], [02], [03], etc. This helps keep the folders in the correct order.
It would be very helpful if I could also assign a specific color to each folder, especially for folders connected to the same unit. For example, all folders related to Unit 1 could be one color, all folders related to Unit 2 could be another color, and so on.

Quick update: we're working through the licensing details on Victorian Cursive to confirm whether we're clear to bring it into Lumio. For Calibri, which we can't include directly since it's a licensed Microsoft font, we're looking into a metric-compatible substitute so text built in Calibri elsewhere still renders correctly in Lumio.
No timeline yet. We'll post again once there's more to share.
