I want all of the things from Smart notebook to be available in Lumio
Our district upgraded our smartboards to the 6000 series this summer. I am changing my notebook files to lumio so I can use them on the board.
In lumio, I am finding it difficult to use the tools I had on smart notebook files, Like a line tool. I dont know why they would take most of those things out but I used them very frequently and now I dont know how to get to any of it. Please just make a smart notebook toolbar in lumio.
107 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for your feedback! We love Notebook too; we've added functionality to it over the last 20 years and there's a lot in there.
We plan on continuing to add support for the best of Notebook features in Lumio and making your Notebook files work better when imported to Lumio. For example, we recently added support for shapes and lines and the MathType equation editor.
We would appreciate your input to help us prioritize the features that are the most important to you. Let us know your favorite specific features by voting on ideas. If you don't see your feature suggested already, create a new idea.
Thank you again, your suggestions will help shape the development of Lumio.

Notebook Integration
I'm struggling to understand why Lumio has so many enrichment and interactive activities, yet doesn't have the same basic tools as Notebook. I've spent years creating my slides in Notebook, most with special fonts/ animations/ tools not offered in Lumio.
Why spend time perfecting my lessons in Notebook, only to have to re-edit everything once I upload to Lumio before sharing with students?
Why start fresh in Lumio when I have less than half the options & tools I normally use in my lessons?Notebook & Lumio might as well be two separate companies because they have basically nothing in…

Asynchronous Student Access to Response and other activities
Please enable the option for students to access and complete SLSO Response formative assessments via a shared link. Teachers would like to administer a formative assessment to their students asynchronously, rather than during a live lesson. Perhaps the teacher could "end" access to the assessment by choosing to "stop sharing" the link.
74 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We have this work captured in our backlog and will look to support asynchronous access for activities such as Response and Shout It Out.

See all student responses on one screen
When making an activity for individual response, it would be helpful to have the option to view all students responses on one screen. Currently, we can see individual student responses by selecting a student name, but when monitoring student work, it would be helpful to view all in addition to the ability to view individually. I've attached an image from whiteboard.fi to show a visual.

Drag and drop images
Right now we have to search our computers for the images we need, but being able to drag and drop an image directly into a slide is a basic feature that would be really helpful. Can we get this?
63 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We have added keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste images from any web page or application. We will consider adding drag and drop as an additional method to add images as well.

Interactive spinners, dice, cards, timers
ESPECIALLY in today's remote/hybrid world -- SMART has many opportunities for collaboration. I enjoy my students playing games together through SMART, but needing to access a separate website for spinners, cards, and dice is really challenging for young learners. Please help! :)

Audio for students, too
Now that it is finally possible for the teacher to add audio, I hope that this will also be an opportunity for the students. Had been a HUGE help for the students who struggle to express themselves in writing and we will have everything in one place
Best regards Kristin Skage

More variety for game-based activities.
I would like to see more variety for the games. Each category seem to have the same game, just with different scenery. Also, the match-up games seem to be designed for math only as there is not enough space to write words or small phrases, but certainly enough for numbers. I have seen some of the older ones in the Smart Exchange, before the updates, that were ideal, but when I uploaded them, they all changed (because they use Flash) for the new ones.
99 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the suggestion. We are always looking to add more engaging activities to Lumio. If you have an idea for a specific game, please add it as a new idea so we can ask our team to explore it.

Attach audio clips to objects on pages
SMART needs to add audio capabilities similar to those found in Notebook. I can't use SMART Learning Suite Online with my youngest students because they are pre-literate. Learning Suite Online needs to allow audio aspects of uploaded Notebook files to function as designed. Really frustrated right now.
232 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We agree audio is very important and will be looking to add to Lumio's audio capabilities in the future.

reset button... its frustrating not to have one.. i need it to use for multiple problems and classes
49 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We are looking at ways to improve workflows for teachers who teach multiple groups of students. As a workaround for now, you can create a duplicate copy of your lesson to use with each group of students. Newly created lesson copies do not include any student data.

Do not eliminate wrong answers on Monster quiz. I have students that click through answers quickly to finish first.
I want students to take their time and actually work out math problems. They will click through answers because if they get it wrong it will just go away and they will eventually get it right by simply clicking through and guessing enough.
36 votesThanks for the suggestion. We will consider this as an option to customize the quiz. In our initial test play, the game could end up taking a very long time without removing the already selected options, and we saw some teams become bored as they were waiting for others to finish.
