Transfer, Export, and Convert Lumio Files to Smart Notebook
Please provide a way to transfer, export, or convert Lumio files into Smart Notebook files.
Thanks for your feedback. We are working on adding support for more Notebook editing capabilities and will look at ways for teachers to export and archive Lumio lessons.

Please create a option to Export Lumio files as .Notebook so they can be also edited on the desktop version (SMART Notebook).

I have created hundreds of interactive slides in Smart Notebook and can not get them to work in Lumio.

I'm interested in getting an individual subscription but only if there is support for Lumio files to be exported into .notebook files. Has this been addressed yet? I have looked around in the Lumio software but can't see such an action.

Our school purchased a licence to use Lumio (or we pay to use it in any case) but we weren't told about Smart Notebook initially. I am struggling to present using Lumio as the controls are on the wrong side for the set up in my classroom and it is slow to click between pages. I use so many pages that I need to pull up the slide icons to see where to navigate to. This is seemingly better in Smart Notebook than the superficially nicer looking Lumio.
In short, I have made lots of resources, which I would like to use in Smart Notebook, but would have to start them all over again if they are not backwardly compatible/ possible to export. ;( -

I second Janet Bell's comment written on February 15th, 2023.
There are several issues linked to the absence of a way to download the content out of Lumio. A big number teachers I train refuse to use Lumio as long as this feature is not added. I would add the fact that in our province, some students have a legal right to printed notes of the lesson as per their IEP. Lumio does not allow teachers to do what they are legally required to do, so they stay away.

Please! I am creating presentations that promote Lumio with teachers (on Chromebooks), and as part of them I want to show them the value of creating in Lumio rather than starting in Slides, (using layers in frames from the get-go, having a more unified look, not working between 2 programs, just so much slicker) BUT without being able to print my presentation in advance I'm a bit lost without a hard copy at hand, and have had to resort back to creating the shell in Slides and then moving over to Lumio again which is so clunky. Then, afterwards, if I create it all in Lumio then I can't export as a PDF so in terms of archiving my own work for my own reference later, I have no access to any of it which leads me to feel that all my intellectual content now belongs to you instead of to either me (my own company) or to the organizations I contract my services to (who I have signed contracts with re: my work for them belonging to them). So it's a practical issue, an ethical issue, and a privacy issue all at once. I hope you can fix this soon as for me this is the dark side that I don't like to share in my presentations but feel compelled to so that other people don't get stuck in this jam also.

Is there a way to export a Lumio file? My work around has been:
1-screen grab each slide
2-upload into notebook -

The greatest disincentive for using Lumio is the ridiculous diode effect it suffers from; ie you can move SMART Notebook files to Lumio but not vice versa.
Unless you fix this; teachers like me are unlikey to use Lumio as a substantive or mainstream teaching and learning tool.
You need to listen to what teachers are thinking and saying about their experience if you want Lumio to be successful.

Our school moved to Chromebooks for teachers - so now I ONLY have Lumio to access, create, etc my SMART presentations...and Lumio is so limited! PLEASE give us more capabilities for exporting, etc.

As teachers, we would like this option so that we can continue to teach when the internet is down

I agree with this!! I can't change background color or font and I can do this on my Smart Notebook. Exporting, transferring or converting my Lumio file I worked on here back to my SMART Notebook would be so helpful!
