Do not eliminate wrong answers on Monster quiz. I have students that click through answers quickly to finish first.
I want students to take their time and actually work out math problems. They will click through answers because if they get it wrong it will just go away and they will eventually get it right by simply clicking through and guessing enough.
Thanks for the suggestion. We will consider this as an option to customize the quiz. In our initial test play, the game could end up taking a very long time without removing the already selected options, and we saw some teams become bored as they were waiting for others to finish.

Or.... how about a choice to give "1st place" to the team that gets the highest percentage right. Then students might think about their answers. In fact, when I use the Monster Quiz I tell students we are ignoring the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards and we look at which team got the most correct!

I agree - making them think through the answers would be helpful and many students click quickly and then know that a 'bad' answer will disappear.

Oh, I hadn't thought of this one, but it makes sense. It would be nice to have that option. Using it would depend on your objective for the lesson.

Maybe add a choice as to whether answers would be eliminated

I think it would be really nice to have the option to turn that feature on and off. There are times when I think it is a fantastic option but other times, like the person who made this comment, they need to have all options remaining.
