Page recording
I opened a file made in SNB 14, I had a page-recording activity on one page, there were Czech letters with accents. In the "video" these letters changed into symbols, so the words were unreadable. But the text on the page is OK.

Page Recorder
I am not sure if this is something I am missing or if its my mac version but I went to go record my lesson I was sharing on Gold Star SEE but the page recorder is no longer there. Is that no longer available in SNB 15 or something with my computer? I attached a picture of where I would usually find it!

XC Suggestion
Love the ability to upload pictures in XC. Would REALLY like it if it could easily upload a drawing on tablet or smartphone. You can write on paper and take a picture, or you can write in an app and save the picture and upload that, but that is a lot of steps. Would be great if a drawing pad came up, or maybe copy and paste or send to from another app like Penultimate, Notability, Note Anytime or something. I would use this a lot in math and science where submissions are not typed.

SMART Notebook on Linux
SMART Notebook is available for Windows and MacOS but only a very outdated unusable set of files is available for Linux.
If packages compatible at least with the latest LTS release of Ubuntu (currently 24.04) were provided, then many Linux users would be able to use the software (Ubuntu is the most popular distribution of Linux overall, and long-term-support releases stay current for multiple years).
Providing at least packages for the latest Ubuntu LTS would probably require minimal resources on SMART's side but would benefit many people using Linux as a desktop OS!

Please make the Paint Bucket Fill feature work with any enclosed object
The paint bucket only works with notebook created objects. The paint bucket icon in most of the other drawing programs fills the area on any enclosed area. I use lots of banners and boxes from internet images and would like to be able to fill these areas using the paint bucket

Standard-Werkzeugkonfigurationen als Profil ermöglichen
Jedes einzelne Mal muss man bei einer Texteingabe die nervige Arial-Standard-Schrift anfassen und ändern, ebenso die Größe, die Farbe etc.
bitte entweder eine personalisierte Default-Einstellung ermöglichen oder zumindest das Festlegen verschiedener Stile ermöglichen.1 vote -
seitenformatlinie in 25 wieder anzeigen lassen!!!
In vorherigen Versionen ließ sich unter Ansicht in blau einen Linie anzeigen, die entweder das 16:9 Format der Seite begrenzte oder eben ein 3:2 Format. Das war EXTREM nützlich, da viele user Dateien auf privaten Geräten mit anderen Bildschirmgeometrien herstellen, als sie dann in den Schulen zum Nutzen mit den SchülerInnen zur Verfügung haben. Die Vorbereitung ins Blaue hinein ist MIST!

Extended page issues
1) Once you "extend" a page, it will not go back to it's unextended size. I find this frustrating when printing - because things may get too small.
In an older version, when navigating away from the page and reopening it, the page would naturally go the size that fit everything and wouldn't remain extra extended.
Please return this feature!

Export and import the toolbar settings
I'd like to be able to export and import the toolbar settings (including the pen colors etc that I like to customize) so I can easily use my configuration on multiple computers.
In version 23 I could just copy a folder containing 3 xml files, version 25 doesn't seem to have this possibility.1 vote -
Provide an ETA for all future updates
In smart, theres an issue which requires the next update to be released (smart files opening chrome), I just want to give my colleages some ressurance, i'm constantly asked when the next update is, and i can't give them an answer. is there any way of giving us an approximation of when the next update will be? even if it's a month or so away.

Objekte mit Endloskloner mit der Option versehen, dass neu geklonte Objekte nicht immer in der neuen, höchsten Ebene landen. Bestehende Objekte mit priorisierter Ebenennummer versehen, sodass diese immer in der obersten Ebene sind und nicht von neu geklonten Objekten überdeckt werden. Vielleicht auch einfach die Option, dass alle Objekte, die gezogen werden immer in einer neuen, höchsten Ebene sind (und nicht nur die frische geklonten aus Endlosklonern). Wie oft will man schon ein Objekt bewegen, um es hinter einem anderen verschwinden zu lassen

alignment issues with cloning pages
Cloning (duplicating) of slides causes objects and texts to move out of position. Please fix this.

Activities improvement
I would like to suggest improved/new activities:
- Mixing up parts of sentences and ordering them in line: perfect for language classes! (Doesn't work with the vertical version - also the boxes don't allow the full text to be visible...)
- Simple checking test/quiz (multiple choices, true/false, typing the answer) - but no mobile needed!
- Organizing elements in more than 2 categories (I know it's possible to create a chart to do that, but it could be an option to extend the pre-existing activity).

Pen Thickness for RX Boards
Please allow to set default pen thickness for RX boards, just like the old boards through Smart Settings . It is incredibly frustrating to have to manually change pen thickness each time you use a pen. I'd be curious as to why this feature was not continued on the RX boards.

Math Type Cut and Paste
Please bring back the support for equation objects from 3rd party math type software. I use Wiris's math type software, and in previous versions of SmartNotebook I used to be able to cut and paste and equation object (windows OLE graphic) and it showed up perfectly in smartnotebook. I much prefer being able to type in LaTeX in math type and then cut and pasting equations into smartnotebook but I can no longer do that anymore.

Editable Full Screen Toolbar
I’d like to suggest an improvement to the full screen toolbar in Smart Notebook. It would be very useful if the toolbar were customizable. For example, I could add my favorite type of pen, frequently used shapes, or other tools I need for a specific lesson.
This would save time during instruction and make the full screen mode more efficient and tailored to each teacher’s needs.

WHY OH WHY IS THE DUAL PAGE VIEW STILL GRAYED OUT IN THE 2025 VERSION????? AND WHY IS NOTEBOOK 25 NOT AN OPTION IN THE PULL DOWN MENU HERE ON THIS how can we improve SMART notebook webpage????????????????????? frustrated

Optimize screenshot tool
It would be very nice if the screenshot tool could be improved. I use this tool for almost every page and I find that it works unnecessarily cumbersome. Firstly, I find the pull-down menu for selecting the destination inconvenient. Could this be omitted? Just show all destinations after taking the screenshot without the intervention of the pull-down menu. Secondly, I also find it very annoying that the created screenshot is imported much larger than the original size. Could it be adjusted so that the imported screenshot is 1:1 the same as the original size?1 vote -
Bequemlichkeit
Es fehlen viele, eigentlich normale Bequemlichkeitsfunktionen bei der Bedienung von Notebook auf dem PC.
- Ich möchte mit zwei Fingern auf dem Touchpad ein- und auszoomen können. - - Ich möchte mit zwei Fingern nicht nur nach oben und unten, sondern auch nach links und rechts scrollen können.
- Ich möchte die Möglichkeit haben, vorher erstellte Tafelbilder an einem Raster auszurichten, damit alle Objekte sauber zueinander stehen
- Ich möchte bei Tabellen mehrere Zellen gleichzeitig auswählen, um Schriftgröße oder ähnliches einstellen zu können
- Ich möchte Textfelder mit einem Rahmen versehen können, für den ich nicht extra ein Rechteck zeichnen…1 vote -
