Lock top layer object, but move bottom layer objects I would like to be able to layer objects, lock the top layer, but still be able to move the middle/bottom layer objects freely. I can do this in ActivInspire. I use it for "hiding" math problems under a picture, such as a bag. The bag itself is on the top layer and locked, but the math problems underneath are free moving and can be grabbed with the mouse because the top layer is locked and no longer acknowledged by the mouse. This allows me to pull random problems out of the "bag" without students seeing them prior to being…

Graph feature; taskbar Notebook 23 is missing the "Graph" feature under the Insert button in the ribbon. As a high school math teacher, this was an important feature for me. Also, when resting my cursor on the Notebook icon in the taskbar, I can no longer see the previous files that I had opened. This slows down my teaching in the classroom. The blue shade around objects that are selected or when text is being entered is annoying as well. I've had Notebook 23 for less than 24 hours and dislike it. I am switching back to Notebook 22.

protractor "Reset page" messes up images

Streamline Camera. When taking photos with the camera feature please put the dropdown menu back under the choices(full screen, partial, etc...) where we can check a box to "save to current SMART notebook page" or "save to new SMART notebook page" so we don't have to click that choice EVERY time we take a picture. I just want to make a choice once and then take tons of pictures at a time and have them all so the same thing. Previous versions had this option.

Exporting pdf Issues ONGOING Exporting pdf's still has issues with highlighting covering up text and also no options as per the old version 22!
1 voteMy apologies, Timothy. On further investigation, we were able to replicate this error. It only happen when the highlighter is added in a 23.x version of Notebook and then opened in 24.0. We will fix this error as quickly as possible. In the interim, if you delete an then reapply the highlighter, your PDFs will print normally from 24.0.

Make the Match Em Up game suitable for long math equations When using the activity, Match Em Up, the software does not support long equations like 8(3x -7) = 6(4x +6) without jumbling up the equation. Also, posting pictures does not help because it is too small to see. This activity works with very few characters like 2x = 8.

Improve Print Preview Print Preview page is constantly refreshing whenever you change the smallest detail and it takes ages just to set a few options and then print. It never used to do this.

Please offer Presentation mode There should be a "presentation mode", in addition to editing mode. In presentation mode, your hand can't accidentally trigger edits on the touch screen. In editing mode, accidental touch causes objects on the page to jump around as if you were trying to move them.

Changes for stable work needed! Awful update. Everytime at least once during the work on materials the programme closes and doesn't save newly added infos. With previous version it has never occurred. It irritates and steals my time. There is also problem with speed and comfort of editing already added texts. The tables don't work as it was. I have wasted time by editing it without real success.

Hi! I know that others have recommended this. I've mentioned it in the past as well. The Mac version needs to support 4K files! At work, I use a PC. The files generated by SMART Notebook 23 and 24 do not load correctly in my Mac at home. This is because the Mac version of SMART Notebook does not seem to be 4K friendly.
I think this is a must-fix at this point. There must be thousands of other cross-platform users out there. This makes it impossible to use my home computer to edit any of my existing Notebook files. If you need some examples of how this is a limitation, I'm happy to provide screenshots or videos for your support team. Thank you!
