Locked ink not erasable. Whenever I lock anything written with the pens, it should not be possible to still erase. This defeats the purpose of locking it at all.
4 votesHi Michael, I am unable to recreate this issue. Can you give me additional details? Are you viewing on a computer or on a panel? Are you using the eraser tool or a your palm? Can you confirm which version of Notebook you're using? Those types of specifics.

Printing the same page twice I often print one slide in "two-up" printing i.e. 2 pages to the sheet. This can only be achieved by first cloning the page and printing the 2 pages, and then deleting again afterwards. In some software (e.g. MS Word) you can print the same page twice e.g. "1,1" would print page 1 twice, allowing efficient printing.

General stability Stability of 23.2 is poor. I have numerous crashes, losing critical edits. Also on start up the page index is blank and only appears by selecting attachments and going back to page index.

On version 2022 you could Ctrl + click on multiple slides followed by using the top page to clear ink from all the pages simultaneously.

sound Insert a sound on an object in Notebook 23.2 and Notebook 23.1 does not work. The icon int he corner appears, but the sound does not play.

I'm trying to get a better sense of how you're using Transparent Background in the manner you describe here. Is the same thing achievable with the transparent acetate feature in SMART Ink? If you're outside of Notebook and your computer is connected to your panel, touching the pen to the screen should automatically start the acetate process. Can you expand on how you're using it to help us implement a solution that works for you?

Go back to the 2022 version. Better because you brought back the "Extend Page" feature. I do not like what has been done to the View Screens tab. 100% is way too big and when you reduce the size it just cuts the whole thing down to a tiny box....I keep trying to use the new version but I find things that I don't like as I use it. I will always go back to 22 version as long as it is available.
Please just stop trying to improve on the 22 version. It was already great.7 votes -
Resizing text using dot resizer In all of 23, when resizing text using the dot to manually resize, when you save and reload the smart notebook, the sizes are not what they were set at. You have to choose the font size using the numerical format in the menu to set it and it not to resize randomly. This is really frustrating, and was not an issue in previous versions. This was really useful to be able to resize using the dot as you could make the text the size you needed by dragging and resizing, not having to choose font size options

crashen voorkomen hoe kan je voorkomen dat het programma zo vaak crasht. Mijn vorige versie had dit helaas ook vaker. Maar dan lukte het herstellen vaker wel. Nu dus niet meer. Ik ben echt alles kwijt. Ook automatisch opslaan is dus een vereiste en dat werkt ook niet.

New Version is no longer usable The tables are now useless. I can't type directly into the boxes anymore and trying to shrink the font is frustrating. I shouldn't have to redo work I've been using since September. Also, in the gallery, the music notes, which I have been using for many, many years can no longer be shrunk. When I try to resize them to make them workable they go blurry. I am going back to version 22 thanks to a post in here, but I think it's ridiculous that I have to do that with every file.

Dual View, Pinning Pages, and Screen Recorder All of these features from SmartNote 22 seem to be missing or functioning incorrectly in SmartNote 23. I recently opened a ticket about this and was recommended to post here about these features either being implemented into 23 or otherwise. At this point I've told my campus' teachers to just open things in SmartNote 22 instead of 23 due to the missing features.
To be specific, Dual View and pinning are not present as others have mentioned. The Screen recording whether used through SmartNote or in the settings function both operate oddly. They will give partial screens even when the…

BRING BACK MASKING! Losing the masking capabilities of Smart Notebook was an awful decision! It is one of the few reasons I still use Smart and have not switched over to Google Slides like many of my colleagues have. Luckily I can still run the old version and have that ability, but just might have to consider finally being done with my Smart Notebook.

Add a search command to find text in a file. If there is a search command to find text in a file, I am unable to locate it. Why does that not exist? I can see why replace might be problematic, although that's pretty standard, too.
