SCREEN SHADE Screen shade was an amazing feature that Smart Notebook had. Teachers had the ability to hide information, answers, etc. while keeping a screen up. I saw an article posted over 3 years ago where Smart Learning Suite said it was not a feature added just yet... can we please have this added to Lumio? I have several teachers who are hesitant to use Lumio without this feature being added. Thank you!

open multiple Lumio lessons simultaneously In some instances, it would be helpful to open multiple Lumio lessons simultaneously. Why? In order to utilize the safe view of embedded YouTube videos when teaching a whole group lesson. A teacher of non-verbal students relies on the videos in conjunction with the other parts of her Lumio lessons, and loves that the embedded/linked video option takes up less space on her laptop. The videos load much faster, too!

Increase number of characters in 'Fill in the blanks' activity. The activity Fill in the blanks becomes more meaningful with an increased number of characters at the high school level. Right now, I have to truncate my sentences a lot.

Have multiple session open at once It's very frustrating that you can only have one activity open at a time. It would be great to use and monitor different activities with small groups during instruction. A comparable example would be PearDeck. You can have many different PearDecks going at once.

Include some kind of screen shade Include some kind of screen shade so that some answers/features on a slide may be covered and revealed. This is helpful for students that have tracking difficulties.

An optional "Raise Your Hand" request for students on their dashboards and during lesson. Many students have anxiety or self esteem issues, so if there was a way for students to click an option on the screen that alerts the teacher that they need assistance that would be great.
It should exist in the toolbar of the screen and always be visible to the students.

Student Pacing Slides/Screns Limitation Feature It would be nice to limit the number of screens and slides available in Lumio presentations when in student pacing mode - This would allow for students to work at a free pace through a select number of slides/screens without the teacher having to toggle back and forth between teacher and student pacing mode.

Student-Paced Lesson Without Teacher Having To Start Activities. I have recently started creating lessons for my students to complete with a partner while I am teaching a different lesson on SMART Learning to a small group of students. The students can complete the SLS slides that are handouts, but cannot complete the activities such as: Shoutout and Assessment unless the teacher is on and starts the activity. Is there a way that students can complete these activities without the teacher having to start the activity?

SLSO is not ready to replace SMART Amp :( I've been struggling to use SLSO in a similar way I used SmartAmp. These are some of the things I can't do with SLSO:
- I was able to create a whole lesson from scratch in SmartAmp, with SLSO I have to pre-make a lesson and then import it.
- Once I import the lesson to SLSO I can't modify the content or add to it (text, images, videos, etc).
- I can only add a blank slide when the lesson is in progress (not while editing the lesson), but even so, the only thing I can do is use the pen tool…

Please offer more TEEN-friendly graphics and music. I teach Secondary. The current themes and sounds offered are tremendously youthful.
16 votesThanks for the suggestion, Miss Donni. We are planning to address the need for more appropriate themes for older students by enabling teachers to customize themes to match the subject matter of the activity. Would this help with teen student engagement?

Provide way for students to create and save Notebook files Integrate Notebook Express into Smart Learning Suite. Students could create Notebook files, save and turn into teacher or open in Smart Amp.

Add a camera tool in Lumio In order for students to take a pic of their work to add it to Lumio, they must use the camera tool from their Chromebook then navigate the pic from their downloads folder on CB to their Lumio page. Having a camera tool in Lumio would make this process a lot more efficient and not interrupt the flow of the lesson.

Add more than 10 items to the Super Sort games Need more than 20 items (10,10) for Super Sort- it is an interactive way to do attendance. The kids drag their names into the spaceship to check in each day- but we have more than 20 students in classes. 15 rows would be ideal.
