The ability to add DNS/NETBIOS Name to the Smart Boards.
To be given the ability to add DNS/NETBIOS Name to the Smart Boards. This would aide in quicker identification of devices on large networks and assist with Cybersecurity and Zero-Trust efforts.

Default input source selection and Auto Switching on MX V5
Hi. I would suggest having default input source selection (Example HDMI 1) when display is powered on the MX series V5.
Also noticed that when no input source is available, the display goes to Android screen (Home screen).
It would be better to have a priority input feature, such in case there is an HDMI source connected the display switches to connected HDMI port from Android back.
We have more than 60 displays installed, and it becomes tedious for the users having to switch sources.3 votes -
Requesting more embded fonts
Hi all,
We use Sassoon, Twinkl and Gothic fonts in our school and we wondered if others schools might benefit from more embedded fonts within Smart Board or AM60 modules please.
Currently when we import Smart Notebook files onto the board, all the fonts change and that is troubling the teachers. There is a slight alignment issue but that is because it goes from Windows/Mac to Android however more concern is the lack of embedded fonts.
So my request is to add more fonts please.

Plan updates from the adminportal
Updates are currently being sent directly to the Smarttech boards. As a result, teachers receive unexpected pop-up notifications asking whether the update can be installed. This is not ideal when they are in front of a full classroom. It would be preferable if we could manage this from the admin portal. Ideally, we would like the ability to first install the updates on a few devices as a test. If everything works well, we could then schedule the updates for all devices at a convenient time.

Currently our teachers can lock down a smart board with a pin or pattern. That becomes a problem when I as a tech need to go look at a board and the teacher is nowhere to be found to unlock the board.
There should be a way to unlock the board from the portal or allow someone to log out the person that is currently logged in so that they can log in behind them.
Allowing anyone to log someone out (much like on a PC) would also fix the issue that occurs when a substitute comes in but the…

MX V5 - Enable support for HDMI-CEC, Default Input and Wake on source
MX V5 in use in meeting room scenarios often have peripherals attached that need to utilize HDMI-CEC, Default input or Wake on source.
One very relevant scenario is Microsoft Teams Rooms Devices. These control the display based on room occupancy using HDMI-CEC & wake on source. The default input option would be very useful, so make the MTR device the primary input. Users can then switch to iQ when needed..

Ability to change the minimum HDMI standard remotely on HDMI inputs on MX boards.
Currently having to manually change the HDMI standard to 1.4 on each board across our estate (700 boards have been installed so far with another 500 + to go) following new installations due to issues with cabling. Laptops are unable to duplicate or extend their displays to the panels until this is done.
Ideally we could do this remotely going forward & undo the change once the cabling has been replaced by AV contractors.

SMART Board GX Series Feedback
1) Because it conflicts with how other displays function, I think the audio mute icon should not persist on the screen if the volume is turned down to 0 with the Volume Minus button.
2) I know it can be turned off, but the Screen Sharing floating window should be Off by default. It's annoying that it persists when an active input (such as HDMI 1) is on the screen.

Windows HDR capability
Yes I have the mx065 v2 touch screen enabled in Windows 10 works great with space viewing programs and weather programs and other cool apps and programs i use, but I am unable to get HDR working within windows 10 pro, which i know this smart series board supports HDR, and yes i do have it plugged in to HDMI 1 and i do have a HDR upto 8k HDMI cable so high speed cable yes and my gpu is HDR capable and has the latest drivers, but unfortunately it seems that there is no HDR Certified Display drivers for…

Installing external Widgets
Would be nice to be able to install External Widgets.

Ability to lock the buttons so that students can not play with them.

A cover to hide the buttons.

Move the buttons to the side of the screen: top-right and top-left.

Wireless USB Touch
A wireless option to bypass the usb cable for touch gestures. Either utilizing bluetooth or a usb dongle similar to those used by wireless keyboards/mice. This would help with retrofit cable running issues and too many extensions for long runs.

Set volume control default option
Volume control buttons on front control panel are defaulting to notification sound. It would be nice if those would automatically control media volume or at least if we could have the option of setting the default to personal preference.

Connect Kandao Meeting Ultra to Smart MX or RX via HDMI out port
Connect a complete video conferencing system like the Kandao Meeting Ultra to the HDMI OUT of the new Google EDLA monitors (V5e RX). In order to use the Smart monitor whiteboard app during a video conference initiated by the Kandao Meeting Ultra system (it is equipped with an HDMI IN 2.0 port).
Now the display of the Kandao Meeting Ultra remains black.
The only way to use it correctly is by using the HDMI OUT port of the OPS Smart.2 votes -
Max volume limit
Max volume limit for the Smart board please. Perhaps an accessibility setting on the board. We have certain students that get music as reward/leisure and they try to turn the volume all the way up. When the sound then gets turned down to an acceptable level it can result in disruptive negative behaviors. Having these boards in a special needs environment makes this an essential feature. Auto Lock after period of inactivity
Smart Boards do not Auto lock after inactivity. This means that anybody can walk up to the Smartboard and access a users data at any time a user does not remember to lock their board manually. Files can be uploaded to the user's cloud storage, etc.
Fix: Provide an option to auto lock the smartboard with pin code after a period of inactivity.4 votes -
Make Smart Board boot directly into AM60-module and make it possible to use the SmartBoard buttons with the module
The AM60 IQ Compliance Module is considered an enhancement by SMART, but I find it very annoying that our MX-board need to boot in to the on-board PC, instead of just booting into the AM60 Module.
WHen I insert an AM60 Module, the onboard PC should be downgraded to a bridge and just allow the module to function as the primary system device.
At the same time, it is not possible to use the Smart Board's physical buttons with the module. They should be bound to the module when activated.
That would enhance the experience and make the AM60 module…

Lumio should have option to insert spinner, dice, and other interactive tools. You can use it in Smart Notebook, but not in Lumio.
