   Can we display the actual content of each team’s work at once or at least try to show 2 on the screen at the same time ? Also can their screens change to display the team that the teacher is displaying ?

3. Student display name needed even with Google sign in?

   Why is it necessary to have a student display name entered even with Google sign in? Think about this process with a kindergarten class. Just to get to the Google screen and "more about you" with these little students. I have 18 classes I see and in order to use the Lumio student name identification, an large amout of class time will be spent just prepping to use the program. This display name will be saved as typed though the student's academic years? If so, a whole pre lesson in keyboard and qwerty, upper vs. lower case typing is needed before you can even start to use Lumio. It makes logging in with Google counter intuitive. Why not just allow for Google Classroom roster imports, or Clever sign in?

   Hello, our schoolboard has blocked different apps last year.
   I have been trying to adapt to other tools, such as Lumio. But there are drawbacks to Lumio.
   Let me explain: When using other apps, such as Quizizz or Kahoot, there are great advantages that should be implemented in Lumio. Here are the top 7 recommendations that I have taken note when speaking to other teachers during the last school year.
   What we recommend for Lumio:

   1. Individuals, and not only teams, can play different games. It is important to view the student’s progress. The students can progress individually through a true/false and multiple-choice questions quiz at their own speed. Students cannot progress at their speed using Lumio or Kahoot. Quizizz permits this feature.
   2. You can put pictures for every type of question in every quiz. All of them. You can even put in short videos and audio files. Offer more choices than other apps. You can put pictures for all questions in the quiz. Certain types of quizzes in Lumio does not permit images when you are building a quiz. Kahoot and Quizizz permits this feature.
   3. Individuals can progress at their speed and still get first place. The top scores should be given to all individuals that got the same score. Speed is not important, and the last student can get first place and therefore many students can get first place. Students can progress through the Quizizz at their speed. Lumio does not permit individuals to play Game Based Activities through Monster Quiz or Team Quiz. Lumio needs to have Student paced learning. Kahoot gives points to the person that answers the fastest. Certain students using Kahoot do not take the time to read properly what is asked. Quizizz permits every player to answer individually. Quizizz also permits the slowest player to get first place. Speed is not a detriment.
   4. Lumio needs to permit a student to get back to the game if it crashes. Lumio crashes for certain students from time to time. When using Lumio during the 2022-2023 school year with a group of 20 students, Lumio would disconnect a student during the games. This happened about once every 4 games. The student would find themselves not being able to continue playing and just sat there.
   5. Lumio should permit printing out all the questions with different formats so that students can also spend time working on paper. We should be able to print: questions only, questions with answers, questions with answers and small images, questions in a test format… everything to help out the teacher reach the students through different formats. Lumio cannot print out questions so that students can study on paper. We cannot print out the questions to spend individual time with a particular student. This is still important because it offers another way for students to look at their paper, read out the question, look at the words, write the answer, confirm with peers that they’re on the right track.
   6. Lumio needs to properly work on the teacher’s laptop. Students can see other peer’s progress. The teacher’s main screen sometimes has problems presenting a full screen. We can only see about 40% of all the groups playing the game.
   7. Lumio needs to modify the final viewing screens so that the teacher, and the class, can better see the progress of all the questions. The teacher cannot view the real-time insight of the progress. In Quizizz, we can identify student’s needs and adapt immediately to what they are learning. For example, we can have an overview view of all the questions and see which ones gave difficulty to all of the students. In Quizizz, we can see the overall class performance, the toughest question or topic and individual progress. There is also an individual score and a group score. The class can see what the final score for the whole class.

   I would strongly recommend Lumio to update with these features. When I meet other teachers from other schoolboards in Ontario, many feel restricted by what Lumio has to offer ever since they have blocked access to other apps. I have observed that certain teachers are going back to paper/pencil teaching because they can spend more time with individual students and keeping better track to what they are learning. I have noticed that many teachers find Lumio not as up to date with many features like other programs such as Quizizz. I have observed that certain teachers would prefer using certain apps (like Quizizz) that have been blocked but would greatly benefit from using them in their class. I have observed that many teachers find that Lumio limits what they create, what they can bring in (import), what they can offer as choices for students, such as print, when teaching in the classroom

6. Slide link

   It would be nice to create a link from one slide to another. So you could work on multiple slides then click a link to refer another slide in the document. Rather than having to click to bring the list of slides up and manually scrolling back to a previous slide e.g. you pose a question on slide 5 but the answer is on slide 2. you could click a generated link between the slide to switch back and forth.

   This is a basic feature in Nearpod and it is great when I want all my student to access a website during a lesson quickly and I don't want them to go to another app to access it (example having to post the link in Canvas).

10. Have a visual timer as a widget for more SPED related classroom

11. Integrate student logins with Clever.

    While in Clever, students could click on the Lumio icon and automatically go to hellosmart.com. Especially for younger students on Chromebooks who don't type or spell very well.

12. Please add another graphic for the Game Based Matching activity on Lumio - the animals are the ONLY choice & a custom would be great.

    The Game Based Activity in LUMIO uses the Jungle Animals as the Graphics for the matching game. It would be great to have either a custom or some other options available

13. Allow the same login for Lumio Academy & Lumio

    Allow the same employee email when logging into LUmio and using Lumio academy for professional learning. As a district rolling out Lumio, requiring teachers to use a personal email (as teachers don't have multiple 'professional' emails) to access Lumio academy is no in alignment with our system direction, and will prevent educators from accessing Lumio academy, as well as over-burden our district support team in duplicating professional learning already available in the academy.

15. I want to set alarms or reminders on the smartboard

    I want to set reminders to alert me 5 mins before an activity. This would be a fun alert for the entire class to help prepare for transitions. Recess lunch special activities wtc

    Thank you for your feedback. We have started adding the ability for teachers to edit imported files. Currently, you can import PowerPoint files as editable with PDF and Google Slides to come.

    I wish there was a way to add links to a Lumio so that the teacher could demonstrate how to click on the links during a live lesson without making it "Waiting for your teacher to start this activity" on the students' end. I realize at times this is a benefit but It would be better if there was an option to make it stay on the page for the students so they could click with the teacher.
