Print annotations from Class Lessons
Ability to print annotations made in the Class Sessions. We were able to export the files from My Library to pdfs and print previously. Can this be added for the class sessions? This was a feature highly requested a few years ago and is needed to students with accommodations. The "share link" works to share with students in general, but it leaves out those that do not have internet access outside of school or those who need paper versions of completed notes.

I completely agree! I want to be able to export my writing/annotations from class sessions. I like how each class session is kept separate for teaching the same lesson multiple times a day... however I have students who need a copy of class notes as an accommodation and I would like to be able to save the writing from their class session as a pdf with my work written on it.

This is an important feature for teachers. With the new updates to Lumio we can no longer upload annotated pdfs for students to print out when they are absent.

Hi adurbin,
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. I understand that the move from having everything organized in My Library to using Class Sessions feels disruptive, especially since you were comfortable with the previous setup.
The reason we introduced sessions was to separate student data from teacher materials. Files in My Library are now your clean, reusable lesson templates. Sessions, on the other hand, capture the work from each delivery or assignment. This helps teachers who teach multiple groups of students or who reuse the same lessons year after year keep their original lessons intact while still preserving student work.
This approach is similar to how many learning management systems work: teaching materials are kept in one place, then create assignments using those materials for students to complete their work. Google Classroom, for example, keeps your files in Google Drive while assignments automatically make copies for students. Lumio’s model follows a similar paradigm so teachers can more easily reuse and manage their content.
That said, we know organization is critical. On our roadmap are new features such as the ability to create multiple classes and associate sessions with classes, as well as more ways to tag and filter sessions, so it will be easier to stay organized and find what you need.
Thanks again for taking the time to let us know how the change is impacting your workflow.

I prefer the way Lumio had the lessons last year, where I can it all organized in my library. I don't want to use Class Sessions. Make this optional. Or have it where we can put them in folders. And print to PDF. It seems the library is now wasted, and I may look for another source to present my lessons.

Hi,
Yes - It would be extremely useful to export a session that contains written notes I made during the lesson delivery. -
Hi Dawn,
Thanks for taking the time to share your idea.
To confirm the use case, by printing annotations, do you mean being able to export a session that contains written notes you made during lesson delivery?

The PDF export doesn't work unless you export 5 or less slides. I've never had a presentation that is 5 slides or less so I'm not sure why this feature is so limited. Please fix ASAP.

I fully agree to have the option of exporting the slides. PDF, GoogleSlides, anything would be excellent. When I have the kids complete work on the slides, I would like to be able to print them out for their portfolios.

Agreed.

Absolutely, kids need to be able to access what has been done in class in some capacity after school hours (especially in high school). Ideally, kids would be able to access their files (what they have written on them individually) as pdf files to either access during homework at the home with their devices or to print out.

I would like to be able to export the lesson after class including the notes I have written on the slides during class. At this point I share the "outside of class" link with my students, but I would prefer the option of exporting the lesson as a PDF.
