Equation Editor - First Click Context:
During a meeting, a usability issue occurred with the Equation Editor, which resonated with multiple individuals in the room (former teachers).Problem:
When creating/editing a lesson, a user clicks on the Equation Editor, but nothing seems to happen (unlike the Add Shape button,
which pops open the 'shape' window). The user is forced to click on the slide (unintuitive) before the 'formula' window opens. The presentation lost seconds and left the room disoriented. This UIUX issue impacts both Smart boards and online versions.Expected result:

export pdf to google drive When I create a whiteboard document and then want to save this document to share with students who are absent, have learning disabilities or physical disabilities it is important to be able to save/export the document as a PDF which we can do. However, it only saves locally on the Smartboard or to a Flash drive.
Please allow the Share/Export PDF to go to our Google Drive as we are cloud based and asking teachers to purchase flash drives is a nuisance.

Allow multiple smart lessons from my computer to be uploaded at the same time. Allow a large bulk smart lesson transfer from your computer to Lumio. This would help if you have multiple lessons created when you are just starting to use lumio instead of having to load hundreds of lessons one at a time.

Need to be able to RESET a page in a Lumio file Need to be able to reset interactive pages in a Lumio file. If you use Lum.io on the web you can do this, but when you use Lumio on a SMART panel you cannot!
Ex. If teachers have students move their names or an object around a page at the panel, they want to be able to reset it to use it again the next day.5 votes -
slide edit I would like the ability to change the theme of an entire presentation instead of recreating each slide. For example changing a blank slide that has an autumn background to a back to school theme.

Lock slide feature It would be great if certain portions of the slides could be locked while giving students access to other sections. When I imported my lesson from my smart notebook, it imported everything but I only want students to see certain sections and not all of my notes.

Improve Lumio by being able to save your work as a google doc/slide, word doc/powerpoint. I'd love if Lumio would add a feature where we could save our work as a google doc. Google classroom has a feature for them to use Lumio for their work, but after finishing the assignment, there is no feature to allow them to turn it in as a google doc nor anything else.

students can see my screen as they are following along and able to move manipulatives on their screen or individual worksheet I am using zoom as my "classroom" and Lumio is like the student work that would be on their "desk" So, I am live teaching using Lumio. I would love to be able to have an instruction or "teaching" mode where I am able to demonstrate as students are able to following along. The reading program that I use has mouth picture cards to represent the sounds in words that they manipulate while doing whole group phonemic awareness activities. It would be great if students could hear what I am doing/saying as they are simultaneously able to see me manipulate…

Text Tool Keep the text tool engaged when students or teachers are annotating during lessons. Right now the tool has to be clicked every time teacher or student wants to add text to the page. It would be good to have it stay engaged until I choose another tool.

Embed a hyperlink when working with a Lumio Template When working in a Lumio Template, I find that I cannot embed a hyperlink. Even when I post the full URL, it will not link to the address. I am not able to convert the template to a Google Slide, where I could post the hyperlink to work around it. Love the template, but wish I had the ability to create & edit as I can in Google Slides.

teacher-controlled YouTube videos Allow an option for teacher-controlled YouTube videos whereas the teacher hits PLAY and it plays at the same time on all devices. Student-pacing lesson YouTube videos could still be student-controlled (they hit play).

Please add a sound when the time runs out on the timer widget. I love the timer widget. But, it would be very helpful to have it make a sound when the time runs out.

Folders ON THE SMARTBOARD We need folders ON THE SMART BOARD to organize what is added to lumio- not to be able to organize in our google drive- we can do that already. When I open up the files on my board I have added from lumio, I can literally scroll for a half- hour to find a file. If it would let me add a folder- like it does if I'm not logged in to my board and just using/making board files- I could easily go to the folder that I created and find my file.

Copy/paste multiple pages/have 2 documents open simultaneously I understand that you can use keyboard shortcuts to copy pages from one document to another, but there are 2 issues with this: the first is that you can only do one page at a time- very time consuming, the second is that you can't have 2 documents open at the same time (side by side would be nice) so you have to copy from one document, open/edit the other to paste, etc.

embed voice to objects, words and sentences For elementary grades expecially, it would be a game changer to be able to embed sounds onto objects. Meaning, if I click on this object, it has a sound attached to it. If I click on the word, "What," that I typed, I can embed my voice attached to that object so when students lick on the word, they hear my voice saying "what." Of, if it is a whole sentence, I can embed my voice reading that sentence. Same for a letter, color, shape, etc.
