Have Lumio Open on Different Tabs/Screens
To be able to open Lumio on multiple screens/tabs. That way, I can set up the day's lessons and have them easily accessible. You can have the video, the lesson, the interactive, easily clickable on separate tabs.

export completed student handout
Hi, I have not seen a way to export completed student handouts. This would be a great way to have students complete formative/ summative assessments within Lumio. Is there a way to do it or can it be added?

create your own sticker widget
I would like a widget to be added for teachers to create a 'sticker' (like import a png or jpeg file, perhaps of an anchor chart?) that could be added to the board as a widget and follow all activity.
I am a Spanish teacher. It would be helpful to have key vocabulary or conjugation charts always present on the screen for a day -- even if we are already in split screen.3 votes -
app
I use lumio on my iPad to deliver notes to students. It would be helpful if lumio had an app for IOS that allowed for the use of an apple pencil or stylus that automatically picks up writing, and when using hand touch it moves the screen not the writing. (similar features to notability).

YouTube Viewing Options for Teacher-Paced Lessons
Currently when presenting a teacher-paced lesson, students are able to start an embedded YouTube video instantly on their devices. There is no way for the teacher to control when students are able to start the video which often causes a lot of disruption within the class. Sometimes teachers want to play a YouTube video for the whole class to view together. It would be extremely helpful if teachers could play a YouTube video where students see the video in sync on their devices - OR - where the teacher could at least be able to click the option for students…

Thank you for sharing your idea! The "lock mode" feature in Google Forms is a special tool designed specifically for Google Workspace for Education and managed Chromebooks. It works because Google Forms is deeply integrated with the Chromebook management system, allowing it to restrict students from accessing other websites or apps during an activity.
Currently, this type of functionality isn’t something external websites like Lumio can achieve because it relies on direct integration with ChromeOS's administrative tools. While it’s not possible at this time, we will continue to monitor changes in technology that might make similar features more accessible in the future. We appreciate your feedback!

Subtitles/Closed Captioning During Presentation
When presenting I would love if the presentation allowed you to use your microphone to allow subtitles/closed captioning during the presentation. These closed captioning/ subtitles would also allow you to get translation into other languages. Many times, our teachers need this and use PowerPoint as their presentation and sometimes go back and forth to use single activities in Lumio. This would create a big buy in.

Add shapes from the Smartboard
We can add shapes from Lumio online, but there is not way for me to add shapes or lines while teaching on the Smartboard.

Disable "Bee" Game while Lesson Loading
While students are waiting for me to begin a lesson in Lumio, I would like to ability to disable the new "bee" game where students beat on their spacebars and yell at each other across the room. This should be an option for educators under their class settings.

Audio translation
It would be great if students could use a translation tool to translate audio added to Lumio slides.

Embed videos lumio
Allow Videos to be embedded directly in Lumio (like they are in the SMART Notebook). If I am tweaking a slideshow imported from SMART notebook, I want to be able to switch out a video and have it be directly in the slides without having to change it in Smart Notebook, and import all of the slides again.

Make added audio available on the SmartBoard itself, not just on student devices.
Currently, audio added to Lumio files can only be accessed on student devices. I would like students to be able to use my Smartboard in class to click on the audio files and hear them.

I wish there was a way to add speaker/presenter notes that are only visible on the teacher dashboard.

Synch 2 teacher devices without smart panel
Synch 2 teacher devices so the lesson can be displayed in teacher mode on 1 device, and student feedback can be reviewed on another.
As a board facilitator on lumio, I've seen training where a teacher laptop and a smart panel are synched and the teacher has the lesson open in teacher mode on bode devices.
There should be a feature for teachers without smart panels to do this so that a live lesson can be displayed on screen for students (e.g. individual and group handouts, student paced games) and the teacher can still update and check student data in…

Restrict students from changing their names in Lumio.
Allow teachers to restrict students from changing their names when logging into Lumio.
Ex: Students continue to change their names to something inappropriate and then respond with inappropriate messages in Lumio activities. Teachers then have difficulty tracing which student this is tied to so it would be helpful for teachers to restrict students from changing their names.53 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for making us aware of this issue. We are looking at ways to help teachers better identify signed in students and hold them accountable.

Please give teacher's the option to default to Teacher OR Student Pacing. I would default to Student Pacing if I could.
Currently, Lumio defaults to Teacher Pacing. Most of the time I want students to be able to access my Lumio files at their own pace. So I have to change to Student Pacing. And that doesn't seem to stick! Being able to chose which I want to default to would be great and save me (and my students) a great deal of pain. (This seems to be the case even with the student links, which is how my students access the pages.)

whole-class whiteboard
Please add the ability for students to NOT be able to edit other students' responses on whiteboard! Make it a choice to a) all edit (all can mess around), b) only submit but NOT edit (the students can participate in the activity but NOT mess with the other students' responses), c) select a random/specific student to respond (check boxes to select/deselect).

teacher note section
I would love to have a section specifically for the teacher's use, where they can make notes and comments that may be needed during the lesson or activity they are conducting. For example, in Keynote, there is a comment section where you can input comments that are not visible to the audience you are presenting to.

Allow educators to edit a student's login name if they aren't able to change it from the course code
Allow educators to edit student's name during lessons: I am a virtual special education teacher, and often my students sign in but don't know how to change or edit their login name so it ends up staying our course code (which is confusing as I have multiple students who do not know how to change it to their name so it takes a while to figure out who is who) so it would helpful if I could write in their name instead of the course code during a lesson to better identify which students are participating.
