screen capture- choose option before taking screen shot and save choice Currently, there are too many clicks involved in taking screenshots. Years ago I would choose what to do (ex. send to current page) and I could take tons of pictures in a row without the need to tell SMART to send to the current page EVERY time I took a picture. SMART would just continue to do the same thing until I made a different choice. Instead of pinching and 'Unpinching' gestures to scroll up and down, use two fingers to scroll like all other platforms. Right now for me to scroll up and down on an oversized slide, on my Dell laptop the gesture required is similar to zooming in or out of a picture on a phone. It should be two fingers sliding up and down. Similar feature request for scrolling left and right as well.
The program feels so clunky when it doesn't emulate the gestures already established in other popular platforms.

Embedded video or slideshows I would like to have a slideshow running from my Notebook page that has announcements for my students right when they walk into class. I usually have the tasks for the day on my first notebook page, but would like to have school announcement slides running on the same page in a little window. So this could be either a powerpoint slideshow window, or a mp4/video window.

GET RID OF WATERMARK UNLESS CONNECTED TO BOARD Its problematic for creating materials outside of class. One does not always need the extra features and teachers end up paying for things the school wont that they may not even use.

Transparente Farbe bestimmen Es wäre schön, wenn bei sich überlagernden Bildern wie in microsoft word die transparente Farbe bestimmt werden könnte. So wäre es möglich, die Bilder ohne grössere Vorbereitung besser aufeinander abzustimmen.

A multi-sided shape that can be filled It's actually Smart Notebook 21 on a Mac. I would like to be able to draw a multi-sided shape that can be filled like any other polygon shape. It should allow for sides that are not all the same. The current tools are a few pre-determined multi-sided shapes or the regular polygon shapes up to 16 sides.
For example, it would be great if I could draw a kite like shape and fill it or a capital H or L that can be filled.
These are irregular polygons.

watermark Please provide a way to hide the watermark in Notebook Basic. Our schools in Ontario are closed right now b/c of pandemic and we cannot get into the school to connect to a smartboard right now. Perhaps extend trial time to 180 days?

I would like to always start with the same Theme page. Everytime I start Smart Notebook I have to choose my theme. It's always the same. I would like the option to automatically start with my preferred theme.

Animations Subsequent animations for an object. I would like an option to animate an object to fade in when pressed and then subsequently fade out when pressed again. Or an option to indefinitely have an object toggle between fade in and out each time it is pressed. I currently have to go forward and back a page to "reset" an animation.

Enable Microphone for Student's to Submit Audio Responses to Assessment While Lesson Recorder is currently available, it does not afford students the opportunity to submit audio responses to assessments. Subjects which are performance based, such as band or chorus, would/could find it beneficial if students could submit audio responses (such a pitches or rhythmic responses).

Page/Group and 'Pinned' pages identification. When I pin a page and/or rename it, it would be helpful if:
(a) A pin icon is shown for the pinned pages in the page sorter;
(b) The page (and possibly group) name is shown on the actual page on the screen.

Make the calligraphic pen and the thinnest line the default setting I miss the old smartboards that allowed users to customize the pen hardware default settings. It is a horrible design to not be able to set a default of the pen style and thickness. I am constantly changing the pen settings to use the calligraphic pen with the thinnest line possible. I also preferred the ease of quickly changing the pen color in the tray, but the sleeker design of the new versions don't offer this.

Keeping Up With The Klassroom Teachers I use Notebook every single day for multiple courses and have done so for 8+ years. While I love this software, there have been minimal, miniscule changes in the last 4 versions. It's disappointing when a widely used tool doesn't progress to meet the needs of its users.
Here are some basic changes that I REALLY hope to see in the near future:
- Ability to set a default font & size.
- Ability to set a default pen, line, & eraser thickness.
- Option for hiding fonts that appear in dropdown menu
- Put a "recently used" or "favorites" section at the beginning…

"Mask" vs.Crop The "mask" feature is inefficient. It launches in the center at a small size when it would be much better if it launched at the edges of the image. Both the mask frame and the actual image can be moved, which is frustrating.
Why not just make it a cropping feature like everyone is used to??

100's Chart Kids learn best when they can touch the Smartboard to flip over any number between 1-100.
Kids can see the patterns in numbers (counting by 2's, 5's, 10's) when the teacher can manipulate the colour of the digits

build an interactive thermometer that shows CELCIUS Kids learn best when they can manipulate the mercury to travel up and down the thermometer to reflect the temperature of the day.
Numbers need to be big. Ensure they can see each increment line between the numbers. Make 0 degrees a different coloured number than the + and - numbers.
