  1. It would also make sense to allow NFC/RFID cards from other manufacturers because schools already have their access cards/tags for building access etc. They don't like being forced to carry another card specifically for iQ login. Because of this limitation, customers often don't use Smart login in iQ.

  2. Please add the option to force 'SafeSearch' and Youtube 'Restricted Mode' on the built in browser app (both can be done by editing the local /etc/hosts file in the Android system)

  3. Currently, hardware authentication tokens/keys aren't supported. We have some users using Titan Security Keys for multi-factor authentication, so it would be helpful to support USB-A/USB-C keys such as these.

Good idea. Unfortunately, Titan Security Keys are not compatible with the version of Android that is running on any existing SMART Boards. Google has indicated they do not have plans to support this.

We'll reevaluate this with our upcoming generation, V5, SMART Boards.

  4. Please could you add support for Mifare NFC cards, We already issue staff with a card for building access, printing, etc, so having to issue all staff with a separate SMART branded card is a pain

Unfortunately, there isn't an industry standard protocol for handling user credentials stored on NFC. Each building access or identity provider has their own closed-source proprietary way of accessing and processing this information.

The display currently supports reading Mifare NFC but the board can't decrypt the user credentials that are stored on it. If your building access provider has an Android app, then it may be possible to read this information.

  5. Youtube full screen option not available from Chrome browser if the The version of the browser is 81.0.4044.96 and Operating system is Android 8.0.0 SmartBuild 3.6.9040

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The engineering team has explored this issue and discovered that there is a hardware limitation that prevents the browser from displaying videos in full screen.

  6. Hi, when using the SMART Kapp add-on in notebook I find that it's a really useful to be able to watch the video to look at idea progression. Is there anyway other than using the smart recorder to capture the video to embed this file in notebook.

Secondly, I also use SMART meeting pro in the corporate space. Is there any way to use this add-on within meeting pro as this is a very powerful tool and would be great to be able to capture.

    Thanks,

    Cathy

  7. When we use chrome, the size is the words in some pages is too small. For instance Wikipedia

The flash contents aren't displayed. Here is Spain we have many educational contents (made by administration) in flash. Till we have them in HTML5 we would need to use them.

The iQ system is based on Android, which unfortunately does not support Flash.

  8. When I have a device following me in Kapp mode, the device sees what I write in real time. Is there any way to turn off the devices' ability to write on the whiteboard space? Perhaps have an option to give permission to write.

We are working on a new Whiteboard experience that will replace the kapp whiteboard. We’ll look to include this functionality in the new experience.
