See who is writing
I would like to be able to see who is writing at any given time when doing a collaborative activity.

Link to EquatIO
Add an equation editor that enables students and educators to insert images of equations, fractions and graphs more easily. (EquatIO is a great one which connects to Desmos for graphing capabilities).

Be able to change the background colour of text box, independent of changing the text colour.
In most software programs that I use, it's possible to change the background fill of a text box. I teach English as a Second Language. If I want to label vocabulary, it makes it more interesting to look at, plus it can also help me classify certain items of vocabulary. Visuals are extremely important in language teaching. I'm surprised you can't do this already in Smart Notebook 20. You will see in my uploaded file an example of what I'm looking to achieve. In my lesson on Health to low level English language learners, I've used colour to differentiate verb…

Either lock text and images or/Teacher hover cursor to show which student last modified text and images
Every class there is one or two students who grab student text and images and rearrange them. One student can completely disrupt a lesson. As it stands, I have no way of knowing who modifies the text or images. Please allow to show who last made the changes to text and images below the student who created.

SMART INK
We recently got rid of our "first" Smartboards for new MX series boards. The pens (Smart Ink) don't work with the simplicty of the old boards. They want to quickly and easily write on documents. Please make it easier. (The SmartInk layer of gray lines is awful!)

inappropriate answers in word cloud
There are activities and assessment questions that allow for free response. Can you create a way in which we as teachers can prevent or eliminate inappropriate responses from students?

Allow accommodations such as a word bank for students who receive that support.
Allow accommodations such as a word bank for students who receive that support. Perhaps with a dropdown window to allow specific students extra supports.

Ability to embed a video & manipulatives with pop up questions & record of student viewing
It would be helpful to be able to embed videos and manipulatives - with the added resource of pop-up questions to get students to actively engage with w/content. This would be a great way to track student use and access to resources. The ability to use video links from adobe, zoom, youtube, etc

Clear Lesson or Save Multiple Instances of the Same Lesson
It would be nice to have the ability to "wipe" a lesson after you are done, much like cleaning the whiteboard in a physical classroom. I use the same lesson in multiple classes and I have had many times when important information (like the answer to a practice problem) was given away too soon because I had already written it on the slides during the previous class. Perhaps we can have a single lesson that saves multiple instances of itself for multiple classes? Teachers can select the lesson then select the instance they need to present!

More variety for game-based activities.
I would like to see more variety for the games. Each category seem to have the same game, just with different scenery. Also, the match-up games seem to be designed for math only as there is not enough space to write words or small phrases, but certainly enough for numbers. I have seen some of the older ones in the Smart Exchange, before the updates, that were ideal, but when I uploaded them, they all changed (because they use Flash) for the new ones.

Thanks for the suggestion. We are always looking to add more engaging activities to Lumio. If you have an idea for a specific game, please add it as a new idea so we can ask our team to explore it.

Text size options for shout it out
When using Shout It Out, the text responses students share are tiny on the Smartboard. Can you add an option in the editing screen to increase the size of student responses on the Smartboard display? I know if I click on 1 at a time they will enlarge, but it is so SLOW to close each response and choose another. It quickly loses kids attention. If the text was bigger, students could read other responses more easily without the teacher clicking on them 1 at a time.

Allow Response sheets be available after the lesson has ended
Response answers can only be viewed live- if teachers forget to export the excel file, they cannot recover these answers. This would be hugely beneficial for teachers to access results after the fact.
