grid Please make the background 'Grid - medium' available as all blue lines, rather than a mixture of blue and red. Children find this difficult to follow as our maths books are just blue but I require the size squares of the medium.

Drag and drop images into activities It seems that dragging and dropping an image into an activity (for example, cards) is not possible anymore on the latest update... Now we have to click to open a new window and search for the image we want to add, click to close the window and so on... It takes a lot longer that simply dragging and dropping the image the way it used to be! Could we please go back on the way it was?

I hate that line spacing disappeared and that editing is now near impossible. Notebook has been ruined. Bring back the easier editing and line spacing from all the earlier versions. I despise the current Notebook iteration.

equation editor The new version has removed the good equation editor and has put the terrible one back in. The current one is nowhere near being adequate as it is hard to use and makes all my previous files not work. It was also removed on the previous update but finally people came to their senses and added it back in. Please put the old editor back in as it is vastly superior to the new one.

Make highlighter transparent again when exported to pdf An earlier version of SMART had this problem and it was then fixed in a subsequent update. The latest version of Notebook, 23.1, has this problem again. When exporting highlighted text as a PDF, the highlighter becomes solid and you cannot see the text behind it.

Resizing text using dot resizer In all of 23, when resizing text using the dot to manually resize, when you save and reload the smart notebook, the sizes are not what they were set at. You have to choose the font size using the numerical format in the menu to set it and it not to resize randomly. This is really frustrating, and was not an issue in previous versions. This was really useful to be able to resize using the dot as you could make the text the size you needed by dragging and resizing, not having to choose font size options

I would love the ability to use the graph creator again. I am a math teacher and create formatted nots for my students. I would love to have the math tools back; specifically the ability to create graphs (coordinate planes) for my lessons and notes.

Bring back CTRL-drag to duplicate items For my 15-ish years of using Notebook, I could always press CTRL on a PC and then click/drag an object, leaving the original in place but also dragging a duplicate to the now cursor location. I assume CMD-click/drag on a Mac achieved the same.

Dual View, Pinning Pages, and Screen Recorder All of these features from SmartNote 22 seem to be missing or functioning incorrectly in SmartNote 23. I recently opened a ticket about this and was recommended to post here about these features either being implemented into 23 or otherwise. At this point I've told my campus' teachers to just open things in SmartNote 22 instead of 23 due to the missing features.
To be specific, Dual View and pinning are not present as others have mentioned. The Screen recording whether used through SmartNote or in the settings function both operate oddly. They will give partial screens even when the…

Update language translations Swedish translation is partially out-of-date and partially incorrectly translated. For example "upphetsad" from "excited". As this word means that the person is (sexually) excited, not (joyful/angry) excited, it's quite inappropriate.
Depending on if it's joyful-excited or angry-excited, it'd be: (joy) "exalterad" or (anger) "upprörd". It's brought some giggles around the office.

Shake grouping Bring back the feature that allowed for selecting multiple items and (shaking) to group rather than going through two drop down menus in order to group (or ungroup) items. I am grateful for the "Open in Notebook 22" feature in the view menu which I use everyday, but wish I didn't have to.

change default pen I've seen quite a few people on here say they would like to have the ability to select their own defaults when the application launches, even without having to connect a SMARTBoard product to their computers. I would have to agree with everyone of these users on here. Please provide the ability for us to save our preferences/ defaults when launching the SmartNotebook program.

Add a search command to find text in a file. If there is a search command to find text in a file, I am unable to locate it. Why does that not exist? I can see why replace might be problematic, although that's pretty standard, too.

Tools back! I need the camera back! I need the split screen back! I need the pages to keep scrolling down! These were regular features used on a daily basis! If they are still there, I would love to know where!

Go back to version 22! The version 23 should not have been released with so much problem in it.
My biggests issues are:
The link on one object is now applied to the hole page. So, every time I touch my screen it follows a random link that was not where I clicked.
We can not extend the page.
Geometric instrument appear behind everything so if a file is made from a word document, we just don't see them.
The printing are of the worst quality ever.This should not happen... I'm now searching for an alternative to SmartNotebook that will work with my smart…
