Extend page is gone and Scroll bar has been taken out.
When you do full screen, they have removed the scroll feature on the left. So you can't even scroll down your page. It's odd because you can place items below the page but you just cannot see them. Why? please fix this, thank you!141 votesExtend Page is now available in Notebook 23.1 SP1.

- The page no longer truncates its length to the lowest object when moving to another page. Length will stay as defined so you can use that space when returning to the page.

Dual Page Display
Where did Dual Page Display go?? It is the key reason I have been using Notebook for years, when every other professor I know uses PowerPoint.
You'd think SMART would try to keep features that distinguish it from the competition. I guess I'll need to make the switch once Notebook 22 is no longer available.

Type and write directly into tables. Fix text formatting for tables!
I find tables to bee completely unuseable in Notebook 23.
Text has to be dragged and dropped in and out of cells to be edited. For students this is basicly impossible to wrap their head around. Why can't you just type directly into the cells? Why can't you edit text inside the cells??
Moving text from one cell to the next somehow creates a copy instead of moving the text. Formatting text once it's been inserted into the cells is impossible unless the text is removed first. Resizing table cells once anything has been added to the table at all…33 votesNotebook 23.2 released in December included a major update for tables, returning features from Notebook 22 and even adding some new ones. We're still working to improve the text editing experience. Currently you have to deselect and reselect the cell to change sizes, etc. That is not the best experience, and we will improve on it in the future.

Please Bring the Screen Capture Tool Back to Notebook!!!
It looks like the category choices need to be updated since the latest still says Notebook 18. This is for Notebook 23. Please bring Screen Capture back to the NB toolbar, or at least have it as an option for customizing and adding to the toolbar. This is sorely missed!!!!! Even if it's in SMART Ink, that doesn't help at all when at home creating lessons. Ugh!!!! The "window" capture hasn't worked in years, but if you could bring back the other three options, that would be amazing. And also, separate thought, not at all a fan of the new…
30 votesThe capture tool was excluded from the 23.0 toolbar in error. It has been returned in the 23.1 update that is now available.

Being able to use the screen shade from the edge of the screen.
I would like to be able to manipulate the screen shade from anywhere on the screen like we used to be able to. With 23, we can only drag the screen shade using the circle handles in the middle of the screen.

Open with Smart 22
Can we please have a feature that allows us to open all files in Smart22 rather than clicking "view" and then "open in 22".
The new version of Smart seems to have taken a GIANT step back.

It chashed 4 times during 20 minutes!
It is impossible to work. Every class I have several crashes of smartnotebook. It is the first version like that!

What happened to "set image transparency"?!?
I use "set image transparency" all the time, and now it's gone. I am sick of having to open everything in Notebook 22 to use the features I want to.

Imagine lecturing for 3 hours and make more than 25 pages, and realize that they are not in order.
1 voteYou can find this in Edit > Preferences > Defaults (second tab). We moved this into settings to save space in the page navigator for users who do not want automatic page names. The default is set to Blank, but you can change it to "Date and time" to have the effect you're looking for.

The drafting triangle in SMART Notebook 23 is tragic!
SMART Geodreieck by ASTRO from Measurement Tools in SMART Notebook 23 is not as good as in previous versions. The axis of rotation of the tool is moved to the top of the drafting triangle instead of the center of the base (as it was in version 22). Rotating and zooming the drafting triangle is very clunky.
13 votesThis was an unfortunate error that made it into the 23.0 live version, but the tool has never truly lived up to our expectations. We have rebuilt the set square/Geodreieck in Notebook 23.1, which is available for update now. It functions as one would interact with it in the real world.

Notebook 23 is a Big Miss
As tools and features have come and gone, this is the very first time since at least 2010 that the latest release of Notebook is a TOTAL MISS, a mess, buggy, and with TONS of very valuable tools gone. People are now paying for Notebook Plus, but getting much less of what they had before. Not sure what happened with this team on this with this unfortunate overhaul of Notebook, but it's really frustrating. This error has been fixed in Notebook 23.1 released in August. If you have not yet updated, please do so and this feature will reappear.

bug: pen orientation off when tapping toolbar
In versions 23 and 22, when I use the pen to tap a toolbar item, the horizontal location is off by an amount proportional to the horizontal distance from the center of the screen. In other words, it's fine when I tap items near the center of the toolbar, but if I tap items to the far left or far right, the tap target is off by an inch or two from where I'm actually tapping!
This doesn't occur with finger touches - only pen touches.

You cannot type Polish characters in Activities in SMART Notebook 23
In the new SMART Notebook 23 there is no possibility to enter Polish diacritical marks in Activities, which makes lesson preparation very difficult. Previous versions did not have this bug. Polish characters in Activities, please.

Accents with keystrokes
PLEASE bring back being able to write diacritical marks (accents, etc.) with key strokes. Also, copying and pasting text with those marks - now I have to go back and retype those letters. This never happened until recently.

the geodreieck
In 23.2.1668.0 version in our schoolboard, the geodreieck is an object. You cannot manipulate it like in the 22 version. And it not a new feature, we had it before.
