As tools and features have come and gone, this is the very first time since at least 2010 that the latest release of Notebook is a TOTAL MISS, a mess, buggy, and with TONS of very valuable tools gone. People are now paying for Notebook Plus, but getting much less of what they had before. Not sure what happened with this team on this with this unfortunate overhaul of Notebook, but it's really frustrating. As we use it more, we're finding even more things missing or that aren't working correctly that were very important for lesson creation, teaching and learning.I'm sorry to say, it's as if whoever made these decisions has a programming and technology background and not any educational experience. And even some of the tools that survived the massacre are buggy or don't work. I truly hope that everyone's comments on here, and those that have called tech support will be taken into consideration and that with the next release, things will be corrected/added back. Revertying back to 22 would be ideal, but if that's not going to happen, we hope that the issues will be solved and most important tools and features added back. I'm sure there are more things, but here's a short list of what we have discovered:
Screen capture gone
SMART Recorder gone. WHAT?!
Concept Mapping gone
New blue boxes are buggy, especially when trying to edit text, and interfere with some things as they are always visible
Dual page and transparent background gone
3-D not supported anymore
Fade in animation tool doesn't work
Insert Geogebra widget doesn't work. Used to be able to write an equation, drag it into the widget area, and it wouldn't automatically put a line on the graph
Some features of Text Pen don't work anymore
Equation Editor (the one with the pen) and some Text Pen features crash Notebook
When you select to add text with the A tool, you used to be able to select the size just after secting the A, but now if you do that, when you click in the workspace to start adding text, it's the original size and you have to go back to font size again
Add cell shade and Properties missing from table creation. Cell shade was nice to have, and Properties enabled us to center uncentered text in the cell
For some reason, they brought back the little floppy disc icon for Save on the main toolbar. It takes up space and also could cause someone to save the file and not know where it's saving
