Provide an Information Share feature = So groups can see what other groups are doing
I am an online teacher reading "Building Thinking Classrooms" this stresses groups using Vertical Boards that in a Brick and Mortar to that all students can glance at other groups' work. I can do this manually - by copying and pasting the group pages to a word and updating and providing students a link to the Word. However, it would be great if the system provided a button for groups that they click as need and scroll through other groups inputs. This could be done via somesort of simultaneous feed to a share location.

More characters for Response questions.
High school teachers need more characters in questions, such as "Response". For me personally in my Biology class we have a FLDOE EOC which is a reading stamina test with longer questions. PLEASE add this feature.

I was curious if smart was able to create an electronic portfolio via Lumio. Students sign in with their school email to complete a range of Lumio activities from Math and English to digital art. Currently there doesn’t appear to be a way where teachers can export individual/collaborative handout activities. I really avoid paper as much as possible especially with a toner shortage. I’m wondering if there is a way where I can have students names on the board>>>Click on a student’s name>> all individual and collaborative handouts a student has completed are visible. Word Cloud - Outside the Response Tool
In the response tool there is a word cloud option. I would like to see it as a separate feature, like Shout it Out is, and where common words within short answer statements are counted as opposed to the exact match they need to be in the short answer option in the response tool.

Student Portfolio
It would be great to have a folder system which Lumio can create from students who are logged into your lessons. What I would love to see is the ability to either used your devices screen shot tool or have a built in Lumio Screen shot tool to capture evidence of student learning in a handout and be able to drop it into an organized folder system in Lumio. Currently, I'm doing this by taking screen shots of student work and adding those images to either a Google Doc file or storing them in folders in my Google Drive. It…

Copy and paste for students, too
It is so easy for teachers to use ctrl+V og ctrl + c for text and pictures. It should be the same for students. I t would be a GREAT new tool and will make a lot of students(and teachers) even more happy about Lumio.

Hide or skip slides
It would be nice if you could 'hide' or 'skip' a slide in a lesson, so that it is still there for the teacher for possible reference or future use, but not visible for students.

I liked being able to split the circles and squares into the unit fractions and show the unit fractions on the fly in SMART Notebook.
In SMART Notebook, I can add a circle or a square and then drop down to split the shape into equal units and I have the option to show the unit fraction in each piece. This is one of the best ways of teaching students how to visualize fractions. I would love to see that feature in Lumio.

Thank you for the suggestion, Veronika. We'll consider this for future improvement of Shout It Out. As a current alternative, you can also use a whole-class Workspace activity to facilitate class discussions. Workspace activities give you more flexibility in how you can configure and run them in class.

Allow for audio files to transfer from Smart Notebook files!!!!
Please please please allow for the transfer of existing audio files embedded in Smart Notebook files! As a music teacher, most of my Smart Notebook files have audio attachments (e.g. accompaniment tracks, primary songs, instrument sounds, etc) and they are not transferring over when I convert the files to Lumio. Alot of work went into creating those files, and I do not have some of the music tracks anymore. They are only accessible through the Notebook files. Extract Text From a Shout it Out Activity
A Shout it Out activity can be used to collect student ideas and feedback. A teacher may wish to have that text converted to editable text on a collaborative workspace page or even a teacher led page. A teacher may wish to copy and paste from the Shout it Out activity to paste on another page. Any way to allow text to be copied and editable on another?

Groups and Whiteboards flexibility and intergroup use in virtual environment for thinking classrooms
I be able to assign groups different problems.
2 have a feature that groups could visit other groups workboard - this is coming from a book "Buildilng thinking Classrooms" and the fact that I work in a virtual environment.

Create PDF files of completed lessons
I often use Lumio to open blank files to fill in during a lesson. I post these lessons to Google Classroom after they are complete, but I must post links in a Google Doc. It would be great if there was a feature that would quickly allow us to save a pdf version of the current document that we could save and be able to attach a copy of the pdf for students.

Allow an option for teacher-controlled YouTube videos whereas the teacher hits PLAY and it plays at the same time on all devices. Student-pacing lesson YouTube videos could still be student-controlled (they hit play).

embed voice to objects, words and sentences
For elementary grades expecially, it would be a game changer to be able to embed sounds onto objects. Meaning, if I click on this object, it has a sound attached to it. If I click on the word, "What," that I typed, I can embed my voice attached to that object so when students lick on the word, they hear my voice saying "what." Of, if it is a whole sentence, I can embed my voice reading that sentence. Same for a letter, color, shape, etc.
