Revert to original
Instead of having to make a master file and then making a copy of the file to write on and manipulate, it would be helpful to have a button that allows the user to revert back to the original file with no markings and manipulatives reset to the original position. Not just individual pages, but a reset for the entire file.

Good news. You no longer need to reset pages or lessons manually. Lumio now creates a clean session every time you start new from a file in your My Library. Sessions with student work are stored in the new Class Sessions tab, allowing you to review the work later if needed.

Edit pages imported from Slides/PowerPoint/PDF
I want to be able to edit directly with texts and images in SMART such as in Google Slides or in Nearpod for a guided powerpoint. Sometimes I want to change my slideshow after I have imported it, but I can't add in just a single teaching slide without an activity.

Copy page from one document and put it into a new one
sometimes I want to use a previous page in a new lesson without having to re-create the whole thing

Hi Jennifer. Thanks for the feedback. Good news. You can actually do this in Lumio by “importing” one of your existing lessons to reuse in a new lesson. When you import something to a lesson in edit mode, select “My library” as your source. Then you select one of your existing Lumio lessons, and it will ask you which pages you want to reuse.

Locking all objects in teacher made pages
I am trying to create music worksheets for labeling, but I need to lock each note and symbol separately. Very time consuming! There should be an option for teachers to lock all objects. These objects could then be un-locked individually by the teacher while working.

Hi. Thank you for your feedback. You can actually do this in Lumio by multi-selecting objects on the page then select lock to lock all selected objects at once. You can either press ctrl/command on Mac and click on the objects you want to multi-select, or just press ctrl/command A to select all objects. Note that objects that are already locked cannot be multi-selected until they are unlocked first.

Work at anytime
I was hoping that my students would be able to log in at anytime to complete the smart notebook lesson, without having me to guide them through. It is hard with multiple siblings and parents working from home to get all of my youngsters on the devices at the same time.

Smart Response Share Link
It would be great if you could have students access smart response by share link

I'm pleased to announce that this has gone live in Lumio today.
You will notice a new setting on Response quizzes that will let you toggle between "Independent work" and "Live in-class." Independent work is the default.
When a Response quiz is configured as Independent work, they can be started by students in asynchronous assignments, or during live delivery when you're running in student-paced mode.
When "Live in-class" is configured, the quiz must be started by the teacher in live delivery, the way it used to work. Use this for a proctored quiz experience.

Allow more than one lesson to be available for students.
Allow multiple lessons to be available to students as a choice board .

Hi Patrick. Thanks for reaching out to us. While you can only have one live lesson active for students per teacher account, you can actually have as many asynchronous lessons shared with students as you want for them to complete work at their own pace. To do this, you can simply generate “student share links” of the lessons you want students to complete. https://support.smarttech.com/docs/software/lumio/en/using-lessons-outside-of-class/using-links-to-share-lessons.cshtml

Student access
I would like student access to write on activities - share link isn't allowing my students to write or manipulate on my Lumio creations independently

Hi Kara,
Non-activity pages are view-only for students by default in Lumio. However, you can easily convert a page into either an individual Handout activity or a collaborative Workspace activity. This will allow students to manipulate and add content to the page either on their own individual copies or in a shared copy of the page. You will also have the ability to survey and guide their work in both Handout and Workspace activities.

Add a search feature.
Can you add a search feature for your own lessons? For example, I may have a lesson on cells in my collection from past years and can search for it and tweak it to suit my present lesson plans.

Hi Kamala. Good news. There actually is a search feature in your own lesson library. If you go to the Lumio home page where you see your lesson, it’s the magnifying glass icon on the top right, beneath the “Training” button. Hope this helps.

Being able to copy a page within the lesson
When creating a t-chart or other items, it would be helpful to be able to right click and copy the page for extra examples of the same 'page'...i.e. do a shared activity together and have the same page for an independent activity

Add a search bar to the Explore Resources
When Exploring Resources, I can't find where to search with a search bar. I would like to type a topic or concept and see what resources that are premade are available.

Reverting/ Editing Handouts or Collaborative Workspace Activities
I would like the ability to revert collaborative workspace activities or handouts back to editing mode. Currently, there is no way to edit them if I wanted to change things. It's frustrating when I copy the whole lesson and am able to edit everything else, except the collaborative workspace or handout activities that I need to recreate from scratch. This creates additional work especially when the directions are the same, and some elements are the same, but I'm only switching out a few things. Please consider making this change!
34 votescompleted ·AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) responded
You can now edit converted Handout and Workspace activities in edit mode. Note that if it’s a lesson you have already delivered and captured student data, you should create a copy of the lesson first to keep the data since editing a converted Handout or Workspace will reset the student data.

Allow students access without teacher being logged in
I would like students to be able to access my lessons by clicking on a provided link when I am not actively presenting the lesson. This would GREATLY help with remote learning when kids are accessing learning at different times of the day based on their home schedules.
