Student Self-Paced without teacher needing to be active in lesson.
Teacher would like to create an assignment that a student can access at a later point, without the teacher needing to be active on the assignment.
You can share lessons with students asynchronously using the student share link.

You can already to this by creating a Suite and use the student link. This link can be shared in your LMS.

ditto- if it is already possible, a video would help

Maybe it is recent but I share files with my class often in google classroom and they seem to be able to work on them on their own.

This is possible but the way to do it is not easy or obvious in anyway.

This is already the case. You can share a link with your students and they can view and complete the lesson at anytime, and they will see the teacher notes that were made during the live delivery. Soon, the teacher audio will be able to be added to lessons, as well.

During COVID we need to be flexible and our school is providing lessons for students that are asynchronous that the student can do at anytime during the week. I was hoping to use SMART Learning Suite to do these lessons, and was prepared to use it until one of my co-workers told me about the activities or assignments not active unless the teacher is in the lesson with them.

I agree. I am also looking for a way to use SLSO as a module for pre- and post work for adult students.
I need them to access a classroom between the sessions.
What is your suggestion?
