Edit pages imported from Slides/PowerPoint/PDF
I want to be able to edit directly with texts and images in SMART such as in Google Slides or in Nearpod for a guided powerpoint. Sometimes I want to change my slideshow after I have imported it, but I can't add in just a single teaching slide without an activity.

Editable import is now live in beta for PowerPoint, PDF, and Google Slides. We will continue to improve the editable import experience over time. Please try it out and give feedback in Lumio via the Help (?) Menu -> Import Beta Feedback.

I'd love to have the powerpoint slides I've imported continue to be interactive. Is this possible? Right now, they are just images.

Good news. Now you can import a PowerPoint file and edit it in Lumio. We are also working on being able to edit PDFs and Google Slides as well.

I don't expect to be able to edit my Google Slides content in Lumio, but it would be very helpful if edits to the original presentation were automatically reflected in the Lumio imported copy.

When a PowerPoint or Google Slides is uploading to Lumio, can you stop the images from flattening so they can be editable/draggable.

I just got an email from SMART saying they fixed this issue, but google slides are still importing to Lumio as one big image- not editable. :(

Right now when you import a file it is converted as an image, but what if I wanted to edit something from the new file? I can't edit text if it is an image file. I want to add that the Smart NB program does give that option to allow PowerPoints to be imported as editable.

I would use SLSO more frequently if I could import things I have already done in slides or in powerpoint. I know I can still import them but the pieces are not moveable or editable. I would request that the pieces remain moveable and editable when imported.

Please make it so it is compatible with google slides so I don't have to import it as a pdf and can edit the slides online.

When uploading a PowerPoint document or smartnote document that has movable items -Smartlearning suite locks the items and they become useless! Make file transfers that will keep all features of the document in tact. Otherwise - Teachers have to spend a huge amount of time clipping and pasting items back in to make them moveable for students to click and drag.

Agreed! I'd like to be able to download my SLS lessons so I can edit and then upload again.

When importing a PDF document into SMART Learning Suite, it would be incredibly convenient if the links from the PDF would remain active.
We have teachers looking to switch over to SMART Learning Suite with PDF lessons containing dozens or hundreds of links. Replacing them with SLS links would be too time consuming to be reasonable.

I totally agree with this. Just started using SLS and find it to be an incredibly rigid platform because of this and similar limitations!

When using Google SMART Suite Extension, Google slides import function is not working. I can import all other files (pdf, Google Docs, Google Sheets). Please fix!

This would make me more likely to continue using Hello Smart. Some of my images and text imported have been distorted and it would be great to be able to edit!

We would like text in the pdf.

Yes, being able to edit the PowerPoint in SLSO after it has been uploaded is important. If we want to make any changes (based on how an earlier period goes, or based on new student info), we have to go back into the original PPT, re-upload, and recreate the entire activity. If we've added interactive components like handouts, those have to be re-created as well. This is a big deterrent from using SLSO.

When you upload a PowerPoint the links are static. I would like to be able to have those links active so that my presentation is still interactive while using SMART Learning Suite Online.

I am not able to edit uploaded Powerpoint. Pictures and some other items had formatting changes after upload and I am not able to fix those items.
