Add an equation editor for math symbols
Teachers and students need to have the ability to write math symbols. starting in grade 3. The keyboard math symbols are not enough. We need the obelus, a fraction bar that places fractions vertically, and the ability to place exponents at the elementary level. This inability alone makes the SMART Learning Suite unusable for me.
Good news everyone. You can now add and edit equations in Lumio. Check it out here.

Students still cannot use an equation editor so they cannot respond to math prompts with correct math equations/answers

When will this be updated? It seems like it has been planned for almost two years. Many math teachers would love the opportunity to use if it had fractions and exponents.

Any update on this? It is now May 2020 (almost 2 years after the indication that this was a planned feature). It is an absolutely necessary feature for those without a touchscreen to do their math work - especially during this pandemic home learning situation. Maybe a Texthelp EquatIO integration would be a great idea to speed this up.

Absolutely essential. Having no equation editor excludes so many wonderful activities for math teachers - and that is a great pity! (Response, Monster Quiz to think of only a couple)

Or add LaTeX-support! For the teacher and students...

For math teachers to make shout outs and other types of interactive smart features, we would LOVE to have an equation editor to make life easier. As it is, we will have to type it elsewhere and take a screen shot and upload that image. Too much work for a busy teacher. This will make it harder for us to use.

Got it. Thanks Kimberly.

Also for higher level math! Exponents and Roots!
