I have a bank of Senteo tests. When they are opened and converted to the new Smart Response2, none of the pictures that I had included in my tests show up. It's a real pain as I have to go and reinsert them into the upgraded test. Also with the old Senteo tests, I had the option of printing off each child's test. It doesn't appear that I can do that with this new version. Lastly, I teach grade 2 French Immersion and not sure if the test can be teacher paced as I read the questions to the students. I would like the students to be able to see the questions on the Smartboard and then they can select the right answer on their Chromebooks.

Response feedback to students - Rather than saying "Great job!" after they submit their answers, would be better just to say "Thank you! Your answers have been submitted." Otherwise, "Great job!" may imply to a student that he/she did well on the assessment even if he/she didn't. This is also true for "Shout it Out!" feedback upon submission.

Would be nice to be able to use QR codes for Response and Shout it Out! It's cumbersome to enter the 8-digit number, especially for younger students. For 1:1 iPad rollouts, the QR code has become the universal way of connecting to a link, so it would be great to see it here too.

I agree with Giancarlo's feedback below. I also thought of the work-around to prepare my content in advance, but it should be available while creating an assessment. I also found this to be true when trying to drag content into other tools, such as LAB activities. It will be very important that original Response assessments transfer over well. Would be nice to have the original and new versions available at the same time as a back-up plan during the transition. Response 2 isn't as robust as Response 1 yet, so please don't take away the original until it's at a comparable level.

I like no actual devices, I wish that it had more question types, that you could get grades and see a heat map of results of all students, that you could turn off the ability for student to see correct answers automatically ( older students will take pictures and share- eliminating grade potential)

I had major problems while trying to build/edit questions....
User experience related: I was in a Notebook page that had existing content that I use to teach with...I wanted to make the lesson richer by including an assessment so I opened Response2.0 and went through the quide to create my questions...i wanted to include some of the images that were in my Notebook page (my existing lesson) but I couldn't...i was expecting to be able to drag and drop images from my Notbeook slides or at least from my gallery content....what I had to do was stop creating the assessment, thing of all the images I would need, save them to a folder then reopen to edit the assessment to include them - I thought of this workaround but I doubt the average teacher would.
Technical: when I went to edit my assessment it froze (i recorded a video) -

LAB and SMART response 2 work with the same number. Great! But I hope, response 2 will be to have similar range of options such as Response VE. Response 2 is still baby :-).

I have a couple more thoughts:
1) Is there a way to make it so the code stays active (say over the weekend or even the week). I want to be able to assign similar quizzes as homework. I know counter to the purpose - fast and instant feedback in the class. Just thinking outside of the box for an instant.
2) I really like the pic chart - bar chart toggle switch.
3) I would like to add video to the question portion (instead of just images). It wouldn't work in the answers. For example, based on the following video what did the character decide to do...
4) EXPORT results.
I agree with +Roman's comments below 1-6 seem practical adaptions that need to be addressed. (wishing there was a way to like comments on this forum).
5. I like the screen when the students are taking the assessment, the "progress arrow." Is there a way to create a title screen to go along or on this as a background title? I noticed the info button on the mobile app pulls up the title for students with the description.
6. I wish there was a way to (as in the Response System) decide if it is a self-exam or a question-by-question exam. I noticed that the results aren't tallied until the teacher ends the activity.
7. I really like that SMART is modernizing the assessment part of NB because we are competing with Kahoot, Google Forms, and Quizz. Keep going you are getting a functional tool that is almost there. -

Hi,
new Response looks realy user friendly. Just few things:
1) I would like to have more types of answers: more than 1 right answer, numeral answer, text answer.
2) Using pictures from SN gallery (image web search)
3) The pictures are too small in the test
4) If I use a test (with a picture under the question) from a saved list, the picture´s gone.
5) Today I´ve tried to start several times an activity and it doesn´t work (In the alert frame was a code? SMT06302 - finaly I deleted the question with a missing picture under the guestion from a list and it works)
6) I would like an export of results to.But ist easy to use and that´s what teachers need ;)

It would be great if instead of having students log on to classlab.com and put in the activity number, you could have a QR for younger students to scan, like in the SMART Response.

Now I've done it and I'm ready to test children in natural history. Hooray, quick preparation, simple and super is that it also evaluates and everything is beautiful to see. Way to go, simplicity is for colleagues only way to begin to use it. Dasa-thanks a lot

A great improvement over the old version. Easy and fast to use, photos can be integrated directly now. and the output looks good.

I like this new SMART response 2 activity!! It's so user-friendly and it's easy to create the questions you want to have in your evaluation. Good that you can use pictures, too. I will definitely start using this a lot!

This one I will leave to the handful of calls I have had with the PM team. There is just too much. It is a good start don't get me wrong. But this feature has a long road ahead and I see it going the right way in the long run.

Couple of things:
1) With all the lists (Classlab.com and LAB) wouldn't it be great to have a "List Builder app?"
2) Is there a way to have the questions be placed in a random order? or even the answers? I like to make sure that the students are not just looking over someones shoulder.
3) Is there a way to have the students log-in to an account? either GAFE or Microsoft? How can I tell who is who? or is that even what I am checking? As a quick review it does allow me to see quickly how the class as a whole is doing, and it allows for anonymity (which is good practice when displaying results in front of the class).
4) How can I export the data from the "Review?"
And the space between the first four digits and the last four digits - I get asked about it every time with students and teachers. Just feedback.
