  1. Include some kind of screen shade so that some answers/features on a slide may be covered and revealed. This is helpful for students that have tracking difficulties.

  3. 10 words can be quite difficult for younger students just learning to read. Could there be fewer than 10 words for this age group?

  4. I am making a matching review for biology. The definitions are long, so the words get very tiny. Is there a way to make them bigger?

  5. Can you add a feature so that I can add a 2nd teacher to the lesson? I have an apprentice teacher and I'd like them to be able to see student work and track student progress.

  8. Our teachers would like for the characters on their PowerPoints to copy over when uploaded. These include Geometric symbols (i.e. an angle symbol), and Chinese Characters. If not possible to copy on a PPT then the ability to type them into a Lesson Slide.

  9. The games such as Super Sort and Match em Up are great assessment tools. It would be nice to be able to track student progress if you give them a link to complete the game. At least showing that they completed the activity if we aren't able to get a complete score.

  10. I haven't been using the "Lumio" part of SMART for very long, but I used the SMART Learning Suite software all last year and even was certified level 1 and 2.

Since the switch to Lumio, I feel like all my SMART notebook lessons are not quickly responsive like they used to be. If it doesn't operate a little smoother, I'm not sure I see much point in spending the time to make interactive lessons.

  11. When I make a copy of the attendance Emoji, it automatically names it copy. I would like the ability to click make a copy and have the option of putting a new name on it. I have to copy, then edit, then name, then close then open for me to use it.

  12. Nearpod has a great feature that lets you create a small slideshow within the bounds of a single slide (think multiple slides in one). This is an incredibly powerful tool! It allows a student to break down the steps of a concept without the disconnect that occurs when you move on to the next slide. I'd love to see something like that come to SLS! Math teachers would be able to use the slideshow feature to show the steps to solving a problem, or art classes can use it to illustrate layering effects, etc.

  13. For the One Minute paper, allowing for each group to have a different topic to be discussing (rather than having the same slide/topic for each group). This would allow for different scenarios to be discussed in the groups at the same time, so that they would have things to share. It would also be neat to have a presentation/sharing option within SMART Learning Suites, where the work from each group could be viewed by the whole class.

  14. I think it would be possible to integrate assessments that would allow a teacher to track data for things like sight words, nonsense word fluency, oral reading fluency. If we consistently use this application for assessments like these the data could be stored easily. Information could also be exported to reports that can be shared with parents.

  16. in each slide the student completes, there should be an option for the teacher to click if the student completed that slide, then at the end a nice list of how many a student has completed would be awesome.
Reviewing each slide and then trying to keep up with how many a student did, or not, is really hard.

  19. Delivering instruction remotely, I'd love to be able to see what students see in the game activities. I often work one-on-one or with small groups of students and found that I can't facilitate the game if I can't see what they see.

  20. It would be nice if you could 'hide' or 'skip' a slide in a lesson, so that it is still there for the teacher for possible reference or future use, but not visible for students.
