1. Allowing videos to play when uploading ppt file

   I would like embedded videos from my slides to play when uploading a file. Currently, the only work around is Smart Notebook files but I don't have the ability to access notebook when I am away from school.

9. Student Dry Erase Boards in Shout it Out.

   When creating a new shout it out activity it would be beneficial to allow students the ability to draw on a blank screen or over a chosen image that can be posted to the Shout it Out page.

10. Google Drive and Classroom Integration

    While saving lessons within SLSO is amazing and teachers and students can access them from home without having to use an installed version of SMART Notebook, I would love to see the ability for teachers to create a SMART lesson and have the ability to share it to SLSO and to their Google Classrooms. thanks so much for reading this

11. Allow SMART amp workspaces that have already been created to be uploaded into SMART Learning Suite Online.

    SMART has provided directions for this process on their website, but they do not work. SMART amp workspaces are exported as a .wst file and SMART Learning Suite Online will only allow Notebook, PDF, and PPT files to be uploaded.

12. All activities ad hoc

    I love that Shout it Out can be done "on the fly," without planning it ahead of time, but it'd be great to be able to do ANY of the activities on the fly. I'm especially thinking of the poll where I could send out a poll on the fly to gauge student understanding as we go. It could be generic where the options are just A, B, C, D, or even better, I could quickly add the options.

    If this is too complicated, a good start would be something like what DyKnow Cloud offers where there's a "am I getting it" pre-programmed poll that already has the options available and you can do it anytime on the fly. The advantage of having it in Smart would be that it's device agnostic and all students, whether or not they are on a district device, can participate. :)

15. Student logins and logging out

    I am the technology integration facilitator at my school and I teach many different classes. After using the SMART learning suite this week, I've have had difficulty with new classes logging into SMART suite after the previous class has left. The previous class appears to be logged into my class after they leave and this makes it hard for the new class to login as guests w/ their names. What is the protocol for logging out?

    What tips do you have for me with regards to using student logins? Should the kids login as guests or Should the kids login with their Google accounts?

    How should the students logout so that the next batch of students can easily login?

    If the kids login w/ their google accounts can they easily return to their lesson(s)?

    Also, should I use the same lesson and/or create duplicate lessons for all of my grade level classes? (I.e. I teach 6 classes of 5th grade - all the same lesson) I would like each class to participate in the SHOUT it out activities, but they cannot use the same page unless I reset the page and I want to keep their answers.

17. Image Gallery

    I would love to have access to Notebook's Gallery within the SMART Learning Suite online. It is tedious to have to go and search for images, create a folder to put them in, download them into the folder, then upload them to the SMART Learning Suite. I would love for the Gallery items to be made available online so we can search within the Suite.

18. Being able to open use more then one lesson at a time

    With Being able to open more then one lesson at a time works well with co-teaching or small groups being able to have the students work on different lessons.

    Say you are working with the lower group with adding but you have a group that gets adding it would be nice to be able to split the class and have 1/2 the class working on adding where those who understand adding could be doing different activities such as adding with carrying. activities.

20. SLSO is not ready to replace SMART Amp :(

    I've been struggling to use SLSO in a similar way I used SmartAmp. These are some of the things I can't do with SLSO:

    1. I was able to create a whole lesson from scratch in SmartAmp, with SLSO I have to pre-make a lesson and then import it.
    2. Once I import the lesson to SLSO I can't modify the content or add to it (text, images, videos, etc).
    3. I can only add a blank slide when the lesson is in progress (not while editing the lesson), but even so, the only thing I can do is use the pen tool (again: can't type, place images, videos, etc,)
    4. When I convert a slide into a handout, my kids can only move things and use the pen tool, (again: can't type, place images, videos, etc.)

    I just feel that SMART Technologies screwed up by trying to replace an excellent product (SmartAmp) for something that clearly doesn't have the features that made SmartAmp an awesome application. My only hope is that they add these features as soon as possible before teachers that loved SmartAmp start getting turned off and look for another alternatives.
