Duplicate SLSO files to use with multiple classes
When creating activities that are workspaces, it would be great to duplicate the files to use with multiple classes so the workspaces would be saved for each class.

Text and Images in Handout
Need to be able add TEXT and Images in Handout just like you can in Collaborative Workspaces. Frustrating that this is not the same as collaborative workspaces when you want to have students add to their handout.
16 votesGood news, everyone. We have implemented the teacher dashboard for Handout activities, and you are now able to review student work anytime, during or after class. It works very similarly to Workspace dashboards except for individual students. Watch this video to see how it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=6JcltQyGPYE

I would like to be able to add a PDF document to a .sls file that has already been imported from a google slide.
This would help add more flexibility to creating interactive lessons. Thank you.

Copying/modifying activites
Teachers with multiple grade levels want to create an activity (for ex. vocabulary) and then copy and modify for other grade levels instead of having to recreate the initial activity multiple times

Embed a SMART Lab on to a Canvas page
Instead of linking out to a new browser window from Canvas, have the Lab available on the Canvas page itself. This would eliminate students leaving Canvas to join a Lab activity.

Zoom
The zoom control doesn't show in handouts, only in presentation slides. This is really frustrating! My students are using chromebooks and for some reason they can pinch to zoom in, but then when they try to zoom back out it doesn't work. We need the ability to zoom in, out, and scroll easily as we pleased, just like when using SMARTamp.
For heavy SMARTamp users like myself and my students, the transition to SLSO has been pretty frustrating. Please fix this ASAP!
Thanks!

Google Slides
I would like to use my Google Slides presentations in SLS but the slides are not recognized even though I added the SLS extension to our school Google account. Does that mean we have to export our Google slides as PDFs or PPTs and then upload them into the SLS? That is time consuming. Please fix this if you can. Thanks! ;)
2 votesHi Christine. You can now import Google Slides to use with SMART Learning Suite Online when you create lessons from Google Drive. The file picker should now show your Slides file as well, or alternatively, you can right click on a Slides file and select “Open with” then “SMART Learning Suite”.

Allow students to edit text in Handout
Currently students can add text boxes when they are doing a handout activity, but if they click out/away from that text box, they can't go back and edit that text. It is frustrating for students as some starting a thought and were planning to come back to finish, only to discover they couldn't. :(
2 votesStudents can now edit text they’ve added in Workspace and Handout activities.

Text needs to be able to be entered on handouts
How can you offer handouts without the option to have a textbox/enter text on the handout. Many of our Chromebooks don't have a stylus.

Voice recording
Being able to use the "sound recorder"in notebook to record a voice over for students who either cannot read or are low level readers. I can already record it in notebook but it does not transfer to SLS online which is very frustrating. I would like to be able to record my voice reading a story and load it into SLS online so that my students can work independently on their activities.

Get Feedback/data after students do an activity!
It would be AWESOME if teachers could get feedback/data to show that students completed activities and to show how they did on the activity itself! "Feedbackify" 😀

Good news. You can now see student data for Super Sort, Match 'Em Up, and Rank Order. We will be adding activity dashboards to more activities in the future.
